Chapter 5

Today marks as the seventh day since Daniel transmigrates and Daniel starting to get used with his new life. Everyday he would wake up early, taking a quick jog, helping the same old lady and exchanging greeting with the other man in the park who is also jogging.

He also knows that Hyunjae was finally discharged from the hospital two days ago, however, he didn't see the protagonist anywhere. Though he was kind of worry, he is glad that he didn't have to face the protagonist, yet. Therefore, his day continues peacefully, or so he thought.

Daniel was on his way out of the school when he heard a familiar voice, it was faint but he was sure it was Youngwoo's voice. He follows the voice and turned a few corners and realized he was walking toward the school backyard. The voice grows louder and Daniel hides behind the wall before sticking half of his head to take a peeked.

The large space was surrounded by the high brick wall, separating the school building from the outside and was covered by short grass. In the middle of that space, Daniel saw Youngwoo was on his knees, face covered in blood and looking like he was about to pass out. He was surrounded by a group of bullied who has a sinister look on their face.

"I- It is true, I don't have it" Daniel's heart clenched at the hoarse voice coming from Youngwoo.

"Said it without stuttering, loser" One of the guys gave him a kick on the stomach making the poor boy fall on the ground.

Daniel can't stand looking at the scene and he hurriedly reveals himself from his hiding spot. "What happened here?" Daniel casually asked, looking like he just comes here.

The other seemed surprised at the sudden newcomer, and Daniel counted how many heads are there.

"Daniel, it's you," A tall guy with a piercing on his eyebrow and who seems like the leader of them said with a smile on his face.

Daniel confusedly scanned the guy who seems to know him. The guy has a thin eyebrow, a slit-eyes which resembling a cat and a tall nose. His lips are stretched into a mocking smile, giving a youthful look, his ears are full of pierching. Daniel suddenly remembers a character who fits this description in the novel and he frowned.

"Kang Sangwook, you're back" Daniel remembers that Sangwook is a close friend of original Daniel, they both have something in common which is they both enjoy bullying other. They both is not an important character but they end up becomes enemy with the protagonist so their ending is not good.

In the novel, Sangwook often absents from the school as he is busy travelling to other countries. However, it was later revealed that he was actually forced to follow his strict parent around on a business trip. Apparently, both of his parents wanted him to follow their foot step in continuing their business. 5 years later Sangwook inherited his parent's company and fall into bankruptcy, his life turned miserable since then.

"What are you doing to him?" Daniel clears all his thought before focusing his attention back toward breathless Youngwoo.

"Oh, you mean this liar?" Sangwook smirked as he grabbed the blonde boy by his hair causing his eyes to watered in pain. "He lies about not having any cash on him" Sangwook clicked his tongue before forcefully takes the money from the other pocket.

"N- no" Youngwoo tried to stop him by grabbing the other wrist but he is already weak and his hand falls heavily to his side with a slight push.

"Tch, only this much, what a poor people like you doing in this school?" Sangwook growled, clearly pissed that the amount of the money was not to his expectation.
