Chapter 3: I want to goto ikea

Will walks me over to the bed frames in storage. My jaw drops. They are litte rally rotting. Nails are missing, the wood is dented and I'm pretty sure termites are eating them. "Pretty cool, huh?" Will says.

"Pretty cool?? PRETTY COOL? THESE BEDS ARE WORST THEN TBE COFFIN ONES!" I say shouting and bursting out into laughter.

"Woah, chill," will says as I have a laugh attack. Near him I feel so alive. I feel like he won't just judge me and I can be so energetic, like the feeling I got near Percy when I was little and explaining mytho magic, except Will isn't trying to push me away to be with someone else.

"We're going to ikea," I say lookig at the ground.

"Ikea?" He says questioning the name of the store.

"Yes, ikea, I'll shadow travel us there," I say confident hoping I'll impress him.

"No you promised, no underworld magic," Will said.

"I refuse to go to ikea any other way," I say being stubborn.

"Fine I guess we'll put the coffin beds back," Will says, I can't tell if he's being serious or if he's joking. I give him a confused glare hoping he catches on so he can clarify what kind of tone he meant that to be in. "So about those beds I showed you, those weren't actually the beds," he said laughing. We walked to the infirmary and there were a few boxes. We picked up the boxes and brought them to the hades cabin.

"Let's take a break!" Will said. I nodded my head in agreement.

"We're still going to take a trip to ikea one day," I say in a serious tone.

"Fine," he said grabbing both of my hands and facing in my direction. "Nico di Angelo, we need to talk..." Will said, and this time actually calling me Nico, no nick names or pet names, he said my name. We walked over towards the woods. "Meet me here tomorrow at this exact time," he said. I could tell he was going to tell me what he wanted at this very moment, but he was too scared to. He let go of my hands and turned around to walk away.

"Wait," I said. He didn't turn back. I ran up to him. "WILL??" I shouted, I didn't get a reply. He smirked.

"I said meet me here at this exact time," he said chucking as he knew I was curious on what was going to happen and frustrated with the situation too.

We walked back to the infirmary as I walked into the hades cabin. I just notice the camp fire was about to start in an hour. I know Will said, 'No underworld death magic stuff',but I summoned my chauffeur anyway to clean up the empty paint cans. I noticed that the beds were set up and they had purple blankets and pillows with orange pillow cases, I'm not sure if it's because of how there are two different camps or if it's just cause it looks sort of cool. I laid down on my bed and thinking about that dream I had about Will. I'm pretty sure I'm crushing on him, but I'm not sure enough.

It's time for the camp fire, the only reason I'm going is to find Will. I looked and looked for will as everyone sang and Chiron made announcements still no site of him until I saw him making his food offer to the gods, two s'mores. We made eye contact. He walked over to me. "Are you okay?" He asked. And that's when I noticed that I was about to pass out.

I woke up in the infirmary, but still pretended I was asleep. I felt someone's soft lips kiss mine and then my forehead, it was Will. "Nico you bastard, I love you," he whispered angrily. I couldn't help to think maybe I should surprise him by kissing him back.. But I didn't, I know it'd just freak him out. So I didn't and I remained pretending to be asleep as he talked to me thinking I was asleep. Then I slowly fell asleep again.
