Some memories are just memories for a reason.
"While I appreciate the dramatic affect, I think the girlish scream was a bit over the top," Madison pressed her lips together sourly. She began pacing in front of Benny, her black heels clicking against the hardwood.
Benny's chest was rising and falling and he was gasping for breath for the second time that night.
"Madison, you," Benny stuttered, "what are you- why are you here?"
"You'll find out soon enough, my dear Warlock," she smirked, seating herself on the armrest of a nearby chair. "So tell me, Ben Ben, whatcha been up to?" She crossed her legs and sat her chin on her palm.
"Any hobbies besides video games? Do you finally play any sports? Girlfriend?"
Benny was too in shock to entirely process everything she was saying.
"What?"
Madison scoffed and sprung herself off of the recliner. "Benny, if we're going to converse, you can't keep staring at my rack," she smirked at him.
"WHAT? I WASN'T-"
"Chill, Weir, I'm just messing with you. God," Madison shook her head. "What's got you so on edge, huh?"
"Oh, uh, I don't know, but my ex-girlfriend randomly reappearing might have something to do with it," Benny sarcastically yelled at her.
"Vampire ex-girlfriend, thank you very much," Madison corrected. Benny stared, his eyes growing wider.
"You're a vampire?" he choked out. Madison just smiled at him, giving him the response he was wanting. Well, not entirely.
"When did you- How did you- Why would you-"
Madison cut him off. "Not important. What's important is that I'm here. Oh, but don't worry, I'm not here to stay. Just here for business."
"Business? With what, with who?" Benny questioned, still stunned from what he had just found out. He could tell there was something different about Madison, other than just her appearance anyway. But her- being a vampire? Nobody who knows Madison would ever guess anything of the sort.
"Stephani."
"Who?"
"Stephani. She's irrelevant to this conversation, so I won't even bother," Madison shooed it off.
"Funny how you come into town right when we're dealing with the Lucifractor," Benny looked her up and down, eyebrows furrowed, still trying to take all of this in.
"Oh, yeah, can I get that by any chance?" Madison casually asked, lips pursed.
"What? No!"
She shrugged. "Worth a shot."
"So, why are you here?" Benny asked again, straightening up.
"Come here, stand up for a second," Madison ordered. Benny shook his head slowly.
"Benny," Madison tilted her head a bit. He rolled his eyes and stood up.
Madison placed her hands on his shoulders, sliding them down to his wrists. Benny's heart started racing, and the worst part was he knew she could tell- she could hear it. Hell, she could hear everything if she's really a vampire.
Madison looked from the ground and up to Benny's eyes.
"See? With my heels I don't have to reach up as much to you," she smiled.
Madison was just above 5"1' when her and Benny were dating and she grew maybe another inch. And with her five inch heels, she came to a decent height compared to almost 6 foot tall Benny Weir. He's always been significantly taller than her.
