Tears come from the heart not from the brain.
Benny quickly became fixated on controlling his breathing which was already getting out of control.
"Awe, Benny Rabbit, what's wrong? Getting a little nervous?" she grinned. Benny shook his head and coughed. "No, I um- just don't know why- uh, what you're doing. That's all."
"Well, B, I'll tell ya. Right now," she began to lower her voice along with her hands, "I'm making you anxious." Madison's hands start to trace lines and gestures along Benny's chest.
"Now, you're thinking about the last time I did this," she whispered, "when we..." she giggled.
Benny vaguely thought back to two years ago when they both got carried away- caught up in their moment. And they crossed a line they shouldn't have at that age.
Madison's fingers painted little images in Benny's mind when they glided down to his waist, teasing the hem of his pants, manicured fingernails that matched her lipstick grazing his v-line through his shirt.
Benny choked back everything he was about to let go. "Madison-"
"Now I'm making you question why you haven't kissed me already," she continued even softer, making the hairs on the back of Benny's neck stand up.
Then, her hands rose like wind to his cheeks, stroking them softly before connecting again behind his neck. He leaned his chin away from her, closing his eyes, knowing if he looked at her perfect posterior, he might just give in.
"Why haven't you kissed me already, Benny?" she asked in another whisper.
Normally, he'd say something stupid in a stutter, such as, "I-I don't know." But no- he felt the contraction between their lips.
Like magnets, they were attracted to each other, their lips gravitating slowly toward one another, eyes fluttering closed, all inhaling and exhaling paused on account of readiness. Then, inches apart- so close, Benny swears he can taste her lip gloss- he breathes, "I'm dating Erica."
Madison looks from his lips to his eyes, backing away for a moment, clenched jaw and a forced tug on her lips that appears as a smirk.
"So it's true," she more says rather than asks.
Once Benny had time to catch his breath, he blinked a few times before shaking his head, confused. "What?"
"I have vampire hearing, Benny. Super speed, smell, whatever, y'know? I have senses so heightened, I can hear miles away, through walls."
Hearing that, Benny caught on that she must've heard everything he and Ethan had talked about at school that day. Between Erica and whatnot, she had heard it all. And on the porch- it's how she knew.
"I'm sure you understand now, Ben. But for example, even if I hadn't had heard you and Ethan talking outside, my reflexes are so advanced, I'd have been able to dodge the Holy Water and snap both your necks within seconds."
Benny's heart was still racing. "So... you knew about me and Erica? And you still tried to kiss me?" Benny seemed upset, which was already pressing Madison.
"No shit, Sherlock! I wanted to see if you were as faithful to Erica as you were to me. Seems you weren't as much," she smugly crossed her arms.
"And how would you know if I was faithful or not?" Benny pushed on. He saw something in Madison's eyes jerk.
"Exactly."
"Wow, Benny. Great burn," she sardonically applauded. "Amazing."
"It wasn't a burn Madison, it's just me standing up to you." Oh, great choice of words, Benny.
