"Hi, what can I get for you?" I asked the couple who just came into the Diner. For some reason, today I feel really tired, so as I was writing down their order, I felt myself drifting in and out of a daze. Unfortunately, Yana isn't working today, which means my shift is going to drag on, but I think Dylan's working today so that's cool. I smiled at the couple before giving in their order, making my way to the next table when another worker stopped me.
"Amy, can you clean instead?" I agreed as right now, i'd much rather clean the tables than do any more orders. I grabbed the cloth and spray, making my way to the unclean tables.

As I was finishing up cleaning the tables, a woman called me over.
"Hi, is everytheing alright?" I asked.
"No, it's not. We asked for no sauce on our burger." She huffed, picking up the plate and practically forcing it into my hands. I smiled and walked off into the kitchen.
"The customer asked for no sauce." They chef rolled his eyes before going back and making another one. It wasn't long until the burger was replaced.
"Sorry about that." I apologised, placing the burger back onto the table.
"It's just that we ordered a burger without sauce so we expect a burger with no sauce." She tutted. I smiled before walking off, biting my tongue so I wouldn't say anything rude back. I put my hand up to my head.
"You alright?" Dylan's voice entered my ears, causing me to open my eyes.
"Yeah." I sighed. "I'm just really tired." He nodded his head as he took the cleaning products off me.
"You can do the orders for a bit." He said, causing me to smile. Despite what happened with us, at the end of the day, Dylan still has my back.
"Thank you." I said, making my way to the serving area. As no one was around, I pulled out my phone.

I had about 30 minutes left of my shift, and it was really dragging on.
"Amy?" My back was facing the counter, but I already knew the voice before I turned around.
"Hannah?" She looked at the ground before flicking her eyes to me again.
"Uh, can we talk?" She asked. I looked around the Diner to notice that it was pretty dead, i I nodded my head at her suggestion. We walked to the booth at the back, the air around us already thickening.
"So, what do you want to talk about?" I asked.
"I want to talk about you and Kayden. Mainly Kayden."
"Okay." I said slowly.
"So, just hear me out. All the shit you've been through has been during the time you've been dating him. Don't you think it's a bit coincidental?" Her words went around my head, but they didn't sink in.
"I'm confused." She bit her lip.
"He's the reason we're not friends anymore." I everted my eyes elsewhere. "And he's the reason you were kicked off the team." As soon as she said that, my eyes went straight back to her.
"What?"
"After what happened at the party, Kayden told me to meet up with him. He basically told em that I wasn't allowed to talk to you and that I had to kick you off the team."
"Why would he say that? Why didn't you tell me?"
"Because he said if I told you, he'd ruin everything. I was scared."
"So he blackmailed you? What did he even get out of it?" I asked quickly.
"He gets more of you!" She moved her arms in exasperation. "He's obsessed with you! He's overprotective! He's crazy!"
"You think he's obsessed with me?" She nodded her head. I looked at the time to realise that my shift has now ended, which means Kayden is probably waiting outside. If he knew I was sitting with Hannah right now, things will definitely get out of hand.
"I need to go." I stood up abruptly, walking out of the Diner and not looking back.

As I looked around the parking lot, Kayden was in fact waiting for me. I walked up to the car and slid in, trying my best not to let anything that Hannah told me slip out.
"Hey." He waited for me to put my seatbelt on and the drove off, sliding his hand onto my thigh.
"Hi." I kept my gaze firmly on the window.
"What's up?" He asked, squeezing my thigh slightly.
"Tired."
"What's up?"
"I'm tired."
"What's up?"
"Kayden, why do you keep asking?"
"I'm waiting for an answer I believe." I pulled my leg away from him, scooting closer to the window. I heard him sigh as he moved his hand back to the wheel.

It's a lot later now, and I'm in bed just thinking about what Hannah said to me. Why would he get me kicked off the team? He knew how much I enjoyed it, and how close I was with Hannah. I was going to confront him straight away, but I'm gonna keep it to myself for a while. Well, until I find out what I want to find out.
