Its now a week later, and to be completely honest, I've not really done anything. I barely got through school, and as soon as I'd get home, I'd go straight to bed and fall asleep. As for work, I called in sick for the first shift but when I decided to go in, I made sure I wouldn't bump into Dylan. Speaking of Dylan, he's been in my head all week, which is probably why i've had such a headache. I keep thinking about what happened and wether or not to tell Kayden. One part of me is saying I should tell him but the other part of me is saying I shouldn't.
Its now lunch and Kayden and I are sitting at a table together. After a whole week of thinking, my desicion was to speak to Dylan, which he happily agreed to. The thing is, I have to miss last lesson as Dylan has work, meaning that the only time we can talk is now. I was planning on just leaving at lunch but I have history last, which means I have to think of an excuse to tell Kayden as to why I'm going.
"Amy? Hello?" Kayden waved his hand in front of my face.
"Oh, sorry." I replied.
"Are you ok?"
"Um, yeah, the thing is, I'm going to skip history." I managed to get out in one breath, causing Kayden to lift his eyebrows questioningly.
"Skip history? Why?" He asked.
"Um, I, uh my mom wants me to help her with something." That was such a bad lie.
"With what?" Kayden pushed, making me suggest that he didn't believe me.
"The um, shopping! Yes, the groceries, she wants me to help out."
"Well ill come with you." Kayden said as he started to stand up.
"No, you can't. Thank you anyway though."
"Bu-" Luckily the bell went, cutting Kayden off.
"Its fine, ill see you later, love you, bye." I quickly kissed him as I left the cafeteria, getting lost with all the kids swarming around.I walked to the small cafe we decided to meet up at and walked in, being met with him already sitting down. He sat there playing on his phone, his hair messy and his face a little red. He was wearing his black puffa jacket which made him look more cute and innocent- wait, I shouldn't even be saying this. I slowly walked up to the table and sat down, causing Dylan to look up from his phone straight away.
"Hi." He said.
"Hi." We sat in silence for a few seconds before he started to speak.
"I'm guessing you wanted to meet me because of what happened?" I nodded. "Look, I'm sorry. I just got caught in the moment and I feel like you deserve so much more and-"
"I liked it." Dylan just looked at me, as if he was frozen.
"What?"
"I liked it. And that's what I'm worried about; I shouldn't have liked it. I'm with Kayden, not you." I let out, causing Dylan's facial expressions to change.
"But you don't have to be. Surely this is some sort of sign of something?"
"Dylan, just because I said I liked it doesn't mean I'm going to break up with Kayden. I love him." I argued, trying not to make the situation harder than it needed to be.
"Amy, he's a psychopath!" Dylan ran his hands through his hair frustratingly.
"Don't say that, you don't know him." I started to stand up. "God, I don't even know why I came here." I grabbed my bag as Dylan started to stand up too.
"Don't go." He pleaded. I looked at him one more time, but then turned around and shook my head. After I pulled up at my house, I slammed the door as I got out. As I approached my house, I was about to unlock the front door when I realised it was already open. My mom told me that she was working late today, which is why I was confused at the door being unlocked.
"Mom, are you here?" I shouted, shutting the door behind me. I was about to shout again but a tall figure standing in my kitchen stopped me in my tracks.
"Kayden? What are you doing here?" I asked, a feeling of confusion and anger rising in me.
"Why did you go and meet him?" He asked, his expression solemn. I slowly swallowed.
"What?"
"I said." Kayden took a deep breath. "Why did you go and meet that piece of shit?" He slammed his fist on the counter, making me jump a little.
"How do you know I went to meet Dylan?" I asked. "I never told you where I was going."
"That doesn't matter, what did he want? Did he do anything to you?" He leant off of the counter and started walking up to me, his tall figure overshadowing my frame.
"Kayden, I'm nit telling you until you tell me how you know I went to meet him." I said, stubbornly. He let out an aggravated sigh.
"Fine, I followed your car. Now, tell me why you met him." I took in his words and the fact that he just said he followed me.
"You followed me? Are you crazy?" I raised my voice, causing Kayden to squint his eyes.
"I'm not going to fucking ask again, Amy." I tried to look anywhere but his piercing eyes.
"On my last shift, I was talking to Dylan to sort something out that had happened-"
"What happened?"
"It doesn't really matter." I was about to skip past the conversation when Kayden gave me a look that said 'if you don't tell me now I swear to god'.
"He told my mom you were dangerous." I mumbled. Even though I didn't say it loud, Kayden understood every word I said.
"He told your mom I was dangerous? What else did he do? You better tell me right now. What else fucking happened?" His voice grew louder and louder.
"He kissed me." I blurted out. "He kissed me, ok?" Kayden stood there, staring right at me whilst I didn't dare move. Not knowing what was going to happen, Kayden suddenly hit the wall behind me, not even looking at where he was hitting.
"Kayden, stop." I said, but it didn't work. Instead, he stormed off out the door.
"Don't follow me." He warned before slamming the front door. I knew Kayden was protective, but this side to him was scary.I posted?? Lol, I'm sorry I've been so inactive, I hope you can forgive me haha.
