Hello and welcome, everyone!
I've been wanting to start this book for a while now but haven't really made the time to do it until today. I was actually largely inspired by Cameron Boyce, which is the reason this book is primarily dedicated to him and the legacy he left behind.
For those of you who don't know who I'm talking about, he was an amazing Disney actor and caring soul but so much more than that. Cameron campaigned for so many different causes and tried to help people as best he could - helping out the homeless, donating to charities, etc. He was a really incredible and kind human being. And it shocked me to find out about his passing from an epileptic seizure. No one knew about it, apart from his immediate family and I can't help but be heartbroken to think that he kept it hidden from everyone, likely in fear of judgement. It's a feeling I've grown accustomed to myself which I will explain more in the first chapter.
I was so upset over the loss of him for a long time but I finally feel ready now to start this book because with the loss of Cameron, it made me realize that I want to help people too. I want to make a difference in this world like he did.
So why not? Why not start with a book here? It's not a lot but it can help spread the word about different disabilities, disorders, and causes that are not only not as well-known but also that less research has been done in order to benefit those who struggle with them.
This book is going to focus on all of what I just mentioned above as well as promoting other books on Wattpad about these issues (feel free to comment any titles of books that you think need more awareness for said disability/disorder/cause and I'll create a chapter for it in this book!).
So, without further ado, I present my very first campaign book - and I genuinely hope that with it, I can at least reach one person :)
Because in the end, isn't that the most important thing?
