Calum's p.o.v

It has been a few weeks since we had detention. I honestly thought that after detention was over that Ashton and Luke would just go back to their jock friends. It's nice that they still hang out with Michael and I. I am still talking to Michael. I am now talking in front of Luke and Ashton but it is usually Michael that I am talking to. Hopefully I will be able to get over this and talk to them. Today was Saturday. It was also my moms birthday. She is in the hospital right now. They finally decided to put her on Dialysis. So far she is doing ok with it but it just makes her feel horrible. She has 3 hours of Dialysis she needs to do and then she can come home. We were having a surprise birthday party for my mom. It wasn't going to be too big. Just my dad, sister, my aunt, a few cousins and I. I was baking my mom a cake. I made her a vanilla cake because vanilla is her favourite flavor. When the cake was done baking I took it out of the oven and left it on the stove to cool. I went to my room and grabbed the gift bag in my closet. I bought my mom a necklace that she saw somewhere one day and said that she liked. I put the box that had the necklace into the gift bag and put tissue paper in it. I then signed my card and put it in the envelope. I then got the bouquet of flowers and put them in a vase. I brought my stuff downstairs and set it on the table with the other presents. I decided to next take the cake out of the pan. Luckily it didn't break when I did it. It was still warm obviously but I decided to go ahead and start making the buttercream icing. While I was making the icing I heard the front door open. It was just my sister. She went to the store to get ground beef. My dad was making hamburgers from scratch for my mom since she loves them.

It was a few hours later and my mom would be finished soon. Mali and I were going to go pick her up since my dad had to start cooking. We got into my sisters car and drove to the hospital. When we walked into the room we gave her a hug and said happy birthday. A nurse came in shortly after with a wheelchair. The nurse helped her in and then we left. When we got outside the hospital we wheeled her to the car and helped her in. Once she was in I took the wheelchair back and got into the car. When we got home we helped her out of the car and walked inside.

Everyone: Happy Birthday!

Mom was surprised that we were all here for her birthday. She was very happy as well. The food was ready so we ate. After lunch we ate the cake and then opened presents. It was just good to see my mom happy and out of the hospital for the most part. After a few hours the party was ending. My aunt cousins and Mali said goodbye and went home. I helped my dad clean up the mess. When I finished I went to my room. I haven't cleaned it in a while and my dad warned me that if I didn't clean it soon he would take my phone. My room wasn't that bad. My clothes are on the floor and nothing is organized but it is not like disgusting or anything. I put all my clothes on my bed and organized them. I put the clean clothes away and the dirty clothes into the laundry hamper. I walked over to my desk and started cleaning it off. That's when I saw a small notebook on the floor behind my desk. It wasn't just any normal notebook that I write in. It was my song book. I want to be a musician when I grow up. I play the bass. I want to be in a band though because I can't be the one singing. I can barely talk let alone sing in front of a crowd. I sat down on my bed and opened the book. I started writing songs almost a year ago. I looked at the first page. The word Invisible was written on the top of the page. I wrote this song a few months ago. After going through the book a bit more I let it down and continued with cleaning my room.
