Ashton's p.o.v

It was Monday and the 4 of us were currently in the music room. Michael and Luke needed us to join their band for their assignment. I don't know what they expect me to do. I have never played an instrument in my life so I guess I will just have to test some instruments out. Luke and Michael went to where all the instruments were stored and grabbed their guitars.

Michael: So do any of you actually know how to play any instrument?

Calum: I play bass.

Luke: Ok. Ashton what do you want to try?

Ashton: Well I could test out the drums. I use to play them when I was little and I was ok I guess.

Michael: Ok.

I walked over to the drums and set up the book. I picked the first song and started drumming. I didn't sound too bad but I would need to practice every day before the talent show. Once we were done putting everything away we went to the cafeteria for lunch. When we sat down and discussed songs.

Calum: So you have to write a song?

Luke: Yeah. I don't know how we are going to do that.

Calum: I um have written a few songs. Maybe we could use one of them so we don't have to waste time making a new one.

Michael: That would be great. I didn't know you write songs!

Calum: Yeah. They are not that good or anything.

Ashton: Sure they are!

Calum: Ok I will bring them to school tomorrow then.

Luke: Great!

After lunch we all went to gym and got changed into our gym clothes. I was glad that we only had 2 more classes left. Well I have football practice after school so that sucks. I wonder what is going to happen when I tell my family about the talent show. I am even thinking about switching over to Music instead of taking Yearbook. Calum was on the fence about it. Yearbook is ok and all but I really liked playing the drums today and want to do it more. My parents would never buy me a drum kit since sports is priority in our house. Plus my dad is focused on our last game of the season. Football is a week from being over. Since my dad coaches football, basketball and volleyball he made me join 2 of the teams. I play football from September to November and basketball from November to February. My dad coaches the girls volleyball team so luckily I don't have to do volleyball. We warmed up and my dad started telling us what we were doing for the day.

Tom: Ok so we are going to the weightlifting room today. Make a group if you want pick a machine and switch every 5 minutes.

We all walked next door to the weightlifting room. I got into a group of 5 with Luke, Calum, Michael and Ethan. We decided to go for the treadmills first. We got on and about 3 minutes in I was already feeling tired. I mean I am always tired so that doesn't matter but it was worse. If I don't go to see a doctor soon I don't know if I will ever sleep properly.
