Calum's p.o.v

Today was Christmas. Christmas was a big deal in the Hood household. Every Christmas Luke and Michael bring over their family and we have a big celebration at our house. We have been doing this for 10 years now. It was 7:00 AM and we were just woken up but our 3 kids. After graduation I proposed. We got married a year later. Ashton took my last name. We then adopted 3 kids. We have an 8 year old named Savannah and twins Brady and Quinn who are 4.

Savannah: Dad get up it is time to see if Santa came!

Ashton: Just 5 more minutes.

All 3 of them climbed onto our bed and started jumping up and down. We knew we weren't going to be able to get any more sleep so we got up and walked downstairs. We opened our stockings and then made our way to the kitchen. Ashton is the better cook in the house so he started making waffles while I made the hot chocolate for everyone. After breakfast we went back to the living room to open presents.

Quinn: When will they be here?

Ashton's p.o.v

Right now it was 12:00 PM. I was getting lunch ready and starting to prepare stuff for dinner. Luke, Michael and their kids would be here in 5 minutes. Everyone was excited. We haven't seen each other since last Christmas. After graduation Luke and Michael moved to Melbourne. They have 3 children and one on the way. When they wanted to have kids they decided to use a surrogate. They used her for all 4 kids. They are also all biologically Luke's. They have an 8 year old boy named Shane, 5 year old boy named Logan and a 2 year old girl named Charlotte. They don't know the gender of the 4th baby yet. Moments later the doorbell rang. All of us ran to the door and opened it. We hugged them and then everyone came inside.

Michael: Shane and Logan why don't you go outside and help your dad bring in the presents.

Shane and Logan: Ok!

They brought the presents inside and put them under the tree with all of the other ones. 

Ashton: Lunch is ready!

All 10 of us sat around the table and started eating. We were all catching up with each other. 

Every time we get together the kids always want to hear the story about how we met. This time Michael was telling them the story. It's weird to think that 10 years ago we never friends. Once we were finished with lunch we did the dishes and then exchanged presents with everyone. My parents decided to go on vacation for Christmas so Calum's dad was joining us for dinner. We heard a knock on the door and went to open it. All of the kids ran to David to hug him. Calum grabbed him a mug of hot chocolate and lead him inside.

It was now late at night. My dad decided to stay the night so I was setting up another one of our guest rooms. Michael and Luke were almost finished putting their kids to bed. Savannah already asleep but we were having trouble putting Brady and Quinn to bed. They were just very energetic and wanted to play with their toys. We tucked them in and then read a few bedtime stories. When they fell asleep we quietly left the room and closed the door.

Calum: Ashton I have to tell you something?

Ashton: What is it?

Calum: You know how we wanted to adopt one more child?

Ashton: Yeah.

Calum: Well the adoption agency called yesterday. They have a 14 year old girl named Taylor. I wanted to tell you yesterday but I thought it would be more special to tell you today.

Ashton: I love you.

Calum: I love you too.
