You laughed

when I said I wanted to cut my hair.
You laughed.
You told me I wasn't allowed.
I wasn't allowed because I'm not a boy.
I'm a girl.
And girls shouldn't cut their hair.

when I said I didn't like my body.
I meant it.
But you laughed anyways.
And told me that I'd grow out of it.
But I never did.

You told me every girl says they don't like their body.
But not I'm not every girl and not every girl is me.
I hate all the things that make me a girl.
I hate all the things that make people think that I'm a girl.
I hate it.
But you laugh.
Cause it's funny right?

Honestly, this is just a vent about my mother. 'Cause she always laughs at me even when I'm being serious about things.
Also, the picture is mine.
