"Are you sure you want to do that, Sister ?" Grace nervously questioned.

"I've never been more." The nun replied as they were coming near the creatures' spot.

Lana and Grace sighed. They were holding hands, fearing what was to come. They were stepping into the glade when they heard footsteps, and a metallic squeaking. Both brunettes pushed Jude in a bush, before jumping in with her. The noises became more and more distinct as they were coming their way. The three women held a gasp when they saw Mary-Eunice carrying an unconscious Spivey in a wheelbarrow. A part of his face was covered in dried blood, he had been violently attacked. The blonde girl dragged him on the ground, and he suddenly woke up. Mary-Eunice had good reflexes : she picked up a shovel which was in the wheelbarrow, and hit him with the thin part of it, cutting into his neck flesh. Loads of blood gushed out of his throat, as he was falling onto his knees, gasping for air. Mary left him for dead, and went back to Briarcliff.

Once they were sure that the devilish nun had left, the three women got out of the bushes, and came near the corpse. Jude was examinating it, when a shadow came out of the woods. It was a creature. And it wasn't alone : four of them joined it. The group was complete, encircling Lana, Grace and Jude. While the inmates had accepted their fate, Jude used what she had brought in case something like this would happen.

Five clear shots rang out, quickly followed by five loud thumps.

The two brunettes looked around, and spotted the beasts' corpses. The nun unloaded her gun, before putting it back in her pocket.

"Thou shalt not kill..." Lana whispered.

"They weren't human beings. Not anymore." Jude replied, helping them to get up.

"Well, I didn't know you were this fierce, Sister." Grace chuckled, still shaken up by the events.

"I have more than one trick up my sleeve, Grace." The nun smiled slightly, then came back to the asylum, bringing the girls, and crucial evidence against Arden. She sent them back to their respective rooms, and Grace told what happened, in details, to Shelley.

Jude went to her office, and did what she had to do. Soon, cops were arresting Arden, but also the Monsignor. The nun didn't believe what was happening in front of her eyes.

"Monsignor... you were aware, of all this ?" She tried to accept the idea, but couldn't. She felt betrayed. The Monsignor was a good person, she had always believed that. He was the one she always looked up to : he was the epitome of kindness, and never left anyone apart, he tried to get the best in everyone to prevail. She truly admired him. Well, admiration wasn't the only thing she was feeling for him, but it was the first to be torn apart.

"I-I knew about his experiments... but I wasn't aware of their frightfulness... please, Sister, believe me, I-" he couldn't finish his sentence : a policeman took him to the car.

As he was being escorted outside, Arden threw a hateful glance at Jude, who didn't bat an eyelid. It was finally over. And she was in charge of everything, now, she had to rethink everything in this asylum. But first of all, there was one thing she couldn't not do.

"Really ? You're really going to let us go ? Like, file the papers so that we can be normal people again ?" Shelley couldn't believe what Jude had just said.

"I owe you this. Moreover, if you really were insane, or anything like this, you would have killed me, in the woods. But you didn't. And that shows your wisdom." She signed three sheets of paper, than handed them to the girls. "You're not diagnosed "insane" anymore. You're free to go back to your normal lives." She declared.

"Is that all ?" Lana was skeptical. She had only spent a short time at Briarcliff, but she knew that one didn't get to escape this place so easily. "Don't you have to test us, or something ?"

"I just told you that the woods were a sort of test, Lana. You're free." The nun sat down on her chair, examining the three faces in front of her. "Are you going to stand there for long ? I have things to do, girls." She sighed.

"Thank you, Sister." Grace was solemn.

"Thank you so much..." Lana and Shelley added. They got around he desk, and hugged her tightly. It was a surprising scene, since they hated Jude -and she felt the same about them- only a few days back.

"I'm just wondering... what will happen to Sister Mary-Eunice ?" Lana was worried about the possessed nun.

"I'll take care of her... I'll perform the exorcism myself, I think that if she sees me, it'll help her fight, you know ?" The nun explained. "Don't worry, she'll be fine." She slightly smiled. "Now, get out of my office, before I change my mind and burn these papers myself !" She chased them, grinning as they were running to the staircase. She was going to miss these girls, that was for sure.
