"Here we go..." Lana thought.

She had just arrived in Boston. Her suitcase firmly held, she headed for the taxis' parking lot, then asked for a ride to the city she lived in before going to France, which was half an hour away from the Boston Marina. Despite the driver's numerous attempts to talk, or flirt with the brunette, she didn't bother to answer. As soon as he stopped the car, she paid and picked her stuff up, then got off, not saying goodbye.

The brunette directly headed to her former apartment. Having spent almost ten years with Wendy, she knew her down to the very last detail. That's why she also knew that she would find a key to the flat under the doormat. "Bingo." She smirked, then came in. The place was different. Many things had been moved, and the flat was messy, which was surprising, since Wendy was one of the tidiest people she knew. She looked everywhere for Wendy's car keys : she had a car, but never used it, because she didn't like to drive. She finally discovered them in the shelf her ex-lover used to always put them. The reporter stole them, then went downstairs, in the garage, after she had made sure that she had put everything back in its proper place. She took the car, and directly drove to Briarcliff.

"Hi, ma'am, may I help you with anyth- holy shit, Lana ?" It was Frank who welcomed the reporter to the asylum.

"Shh ! I'm here incognito." She confessed.

"Everyone here knows your face, Winters. You're one of the only three inmates who have succeeded leaving the asylum, in all Briarcliff's history ! Jude released you, do you even know what it means, for the people living here ?"

"Well, that's too bad. I didn't come for them, though... There is someone in here that I need to see." Lana declared.

"I see... I always knew that you would eventually know about that..." the guard sighed.

"What are you talking about ?" Lana inquired, his remark had caught her attention.

"You're here to see Mrs. Peyser, aren't you ?"

"What is Wendy doing here, for God's sake ?!" The brunette was dumbfounded : she wasn't expecting that. "Is she a staff member, or..."

"She's an inmate. Her husband committed her, complaining about the fact that she was spending her days and nights whining about the mistake she had made, which was cheating on you." Frank explained.

"Well, we all have to learn from our mistakes, and Briarcliff is just the place for that ! Mine... was to trust her." She smirked. "I, at first, wasn't coming for her, but take me to her, I'd be glad to say hello."

The older man nodded, then brought Lana to the common room, where she found some familiar faces again, but also new ones. No sooner had she entered the room, than a dark-haired woman rushed to her, eyes wide open.

"Lana ?! Lana, honey, is that you ?!" It was, of course, Wendy. The brunette shoved her away, repulsed by the sight.

"You have no right to call me honey, Wendy. You lost it when you signed these papers. I just came to be sure you were enjoying your journey here... which is apparently not going to end soon." She scoffed, then looked around in order to find Frank again. Leaving Wendy speechless, she asked him where she could find Mary-Eunice. The guard embarrassedly explained the nun's situation to her, and also warned her that she couldn't visit her.

"Why is it so ?! She doesn't deserve that !" Lana was deeply shocked.

"She was acting crazy... it became worse after you and the girls had left... Jude didn't want to see it, but as soon as she had left the asylum, Sister Linda committed her. She had to." Frank sighed. That's awful, but I can't do anything about it, because I know that Linda only has good intentions... I do my best to make Mary-Eunice feel better, however, I don't think it's useful in any way..."

"For how long has this been going on ?" The brunette didn't really care about his pitiable justifications, she knew full well that he didn't give a single damn about Mary.

"One and a half month, I think... when Jude left, she chose Mary-Eunice to take the lead, but Mary didn't want to be in charge of Briarcliff... she let Linda take over..." Lana couldn't bear to hear more about it. She immediately exited the asylum, knowing exactly what she was going to do.

And there she was, once again, wandering in the woods, at night, looking for a secret way in the asylum, except this time, she knew exactly where the entrance was. Fortunately, the doors weren't locked, and she was able to sneak discreetly in the bakery. She knew, thanks to Frank, that Mary-Eunice was in the isolation ward. She didn't waste any time looking around and went straight to the undergrounds of the asylum. There wasn't any guard, it made her task easier. She looked for the most remote cell and found it without any problems. Lana borrowed the key which was hanging on the wall next to the door, and opened it. Her flashlight beam illuminated the room, and the reporter laid her eyes on a confused Mary-Eunice. The blonde was curled up in the corner of her mattress, looking at her with dreadful eyes. She couldn't recognize her because of the light, which was blinding her, that's why she was reacting as if it was one of the medics who had just entered her room.

"It... It isn't time yet... I still have time to sleep... right ?" She shyly asked, her voice trembling. Lana kneeled down next to her, careful not to touch her.

"Sister..." the nun shushed straight away. There was only one person who still called her "Sister", and this same person only, was able to brighten her mood just by pronouncing it. "It's me, Lana... do you remember me ?"

Mary was frozen. Was her mind tricking her ? It seemed so real... She lifted her hand, and slowly placed it on the reporter's cheek, stroking it with her thumb. She wasn't dreaming. Lana was here. She could smell the room filling up with her sweet and familiar fragrance, as she was letting herself fall into her arms, smiling tiredly. The brunette held her, caressing her hair. "I knew... I always knew you would finally come, Lana..." she sighed in relief.

"Sister, as much as I would have loved to stay in this position, we have to go. Now." She held her tight, and got up, keeping her close so that she wouldn't fall. Eunice laboriously followed her out of Briarcliff, but fell asleep as soon as she had seated in Lana's car. The drive back to the brunette's hotel room was quiet, as she was thinking about how she was going to figure things out.
