The Future

*A couple of months later*

I stood around with my friends. Caroline was so excited that we were all here. Bonnie gave us sometime to be able to see our loved ones, like Jeremy who was killed by Katherine not long ago and it led to Elena turning off her humanity.

Trust me when I say all hell broke loose after Alaric and Allison died. Pretty much, Bonnie used black magic and the dead witches, including her Grams, took her magic away. Bonnie turned to a creepy professor who actually held sacrifices that gave her the power of expression, very dangerous magic. The whole point was so that Bonnie can resurrect Silas, the first ever immortal, and is older than the Originals. Also, he had the cure for vampirism, which everyone wants for Elena. Klaus got a girl, Hayley, pregnant and moved to New Orleans, but before all of that Klaus and I became closer as friends, and he wasn't much of an enemy anymore.

Derek was kidnapped by Kate Argent, Allison's "dead" aunt and Scott went to save her. Then Stiles discovered this benefactor thing that gave people money to kill the supernatural. I was on the list as ten million dollars for being a hybrid, but don't worry Klaus was fifty million for being the Original Hybrid. Well, the Benefactor was cut off, and Kate took Scott. She made him into an indestructible being, but they fixed that. I don't know for sure if Kate was killed, I left before we can find out.

As far as Derek and Damon, I made my decision, yes after all these months. Damon ended up with Elena, as she was sired to him, long story. Anyways, today is supposed to be a good day with my friends, and I wish it was but since Bonnie let down the veil, old ghosts are back.

After we walked, Bonnie disappeared. Elena, Stefan, Caroline and I were finding out what to do since Damon was shot by wolf venom bullets. As Caroline is trying to get in touch with Klaus, a headache came to all of us. We saw that it was the witches that Caroline killed, trying to save Bonnie... didn't work. One of the heads were cut off by a dear friend.

"There are plenty more of these to go around," Klaus stated, waving around graduation caps, "Who's next? I can do this all day,"

The witches left and Klaus pulled me aside before we all went our separate ways for the night.

"Have you thought of my offer?" Klaus asked.

"Yes, I have, and yes I will go," I answered, "I need my hybrid buddy around,"

"Go where?" Caroline asked, "Sorry I was curious about the secrecy,"

"Well, no time then now to tell you all," I said as Elena and Stefan walked over too, "I'm not going to college with you guys, hell I didn't think I was going to make it out of high school,"

"What are you talking about?" Elena asked.

"I love you all so much, and staying here would be fun, but I'm leaving tomorrow morning to go to New Orleans," I answered, "I need to be with another hybrid, and as much as Klaus can be a royal pain in the ass, no offense, I need him and he's going to need me,"

"Why?" Stefan asked.

"Klaus offered, and who knows, maybe I'll go to college there, but I think I want to live for now," I answered, "I'm going to miss you all, and I will always keep in contact and visit, but for now I'm going to do me,"

They all hugged me. As soon as I broke the hug, I texted Derek and Damon to meet me in the center of town, I had to make my decision. I know Derek is leaving town, but still. Also, Klaus is going to be helping Damon, so that will work to. When they arrived, I can tell that they were both shocked.

"So I know you guys are wondering why I asked you to come, and it's because I made my decision," I stated, "It was hard, but I have an explanation. Damon," I turned to look at him. "You are crazy wild, but also in love with Elena, and we have an eternity, so that's why I chose," I looked at Derek. "Derek. You are amazing, and the worst part is that I would never forgive myself if I choose Damon because we have forever, but you and I, only have limited time, and I want to make the most of it." I turned back at Damon and kissed his cheek, "Go and win Elena's heart, she's amazing for you," Damon nodded and sped off to go home. I looked at Derek, "I know you are leaving, and so am I, I'm going to New Orleans, and you can join me, if you want"

Derek pulled me close and kissed me passionately. I have missed this so much. I kissed right back, and took his reaction as a yes. I felt bad that I didn't choose Damon, but he wants Elena more than me, and we have forever.

*The Future Years*

Moving to New Orleans was an amazing decision. I never went to college because I became Klaus's second in command. Not really, but I did a lot for him and we got even closer, as friends. Derek and I even got married, but no babies, which is weird because I'm part human so why can't I have children if Klaus can? Oh well. Derek was on the road a lot. He was still apart of Scott's pack, so he did a lot of loose ends for Scott. We didn't fully move back to Mystic Hills until Hope, Klaus's child, went to go to the Salvatore Boarding School for the supernatural.

At one point, Derek and I moved in with Hayley outside of New Orleans because the Originals all were put to sleep by Freya so that Hayley can gather what she needed to for a cure for each of them, but Freya had to make it. A lot times while Hayley was out, Derek and I would watch Hope and I would tell her all about the good times with Klaus. She even called us "Auntie Val and Uncle Derek".

When Klaus was awaken a strong force took over Hope and led to the last four Originals to take to the power inside them and go to four remote corners of the world. I didn't want to follow Klaus, so I did Hayley a favor and went back to Mystic Hills. Derek and I moved into his loft, and I started to work at the Boarding School, I led self defense classes. I'm pretty sure you are suppose to have a teaching degree to teach a class, but this is a supernatural school, what do you expect? The best part of coming home is that I was reunited with my friends, especially Caroline. I would take Hope home during breaks, and spend time with Hayley and Freya.

In the end, my life was amazing. I fell hopelessly in love with Derek, and we lived a pretty happy life together. After Hope lost both of her parents, Derek and I bought a house, and let Hope stay there when she wanted to. Scott was happy to have me back, but I wouldn't let him and Malia stay in my house. My life was bumpy but it was a good life, and I'm glad to have been able to live it, for eternity.
