"Woah," someone said from behind us.
Corbyn and I both jumped back. I turned to see Ashley standing in the entrance of the kitchen.
"Ashley, shit. How much did you hear?" Corbyn asked, his hands in his hair.
"All of it," Ashley whispered staring at her feet.
"You can't say anything," Corbyn said, emphasizing "can't".
"Guys, I don't know. Isn't that how you got into this mess, by keeping things a secret," Ashley pointed out.
"It will just make everything worse. We need to figure this out on our own," I said.
"Don't you think they deserve to know? You guys just admitted you still love each other," Ashley said.
"I didn't-" I started to say.
"Stop right there y/n, are you about to tell me you don't still love Corbyn?" Ashley asked, raising her eyebrows.
I looked at her and then at Corbyn. He stared at me, waiting for an answer. I took a deep breath and then looked down at my feet, I couldn't say no. That would be a lie.
"See, isn't that a sign?" Ashley asked.
Neither of us said anything. I don't think we knew what to say. Too afraid to admit the truth.
"Just something to think about," Ashley said before leaving the room.
I looked over at Corbyn, he stared back at me.
"What do we do now?" I asked breaking the silence between Corbyn and I.
"I don't know. What if Ashley's right?" Corbyn asked.
"Then what? We just drop everything and be together? Corbyn-" I said.
"I know it sounds crazy, but do you remember the day we broke up? And you said that if we found each other again and we're still single then we would know that we are meant to be," Corbyn remembered.
"But the thing is, we aren't single," I said.
"I know we aren't. But I know for a fact that I still love you y/n, there's no point in denying it. And yes, it's a risk. But we took a risk back in high school when we decided to be more than friends. What's to say another risk won't hurt?" Corbyn looked me in the eyes as he said this, he meant every word I could tell.
"We always did love taking risks," I smiled.
Corbyn smiled at me a spark of hope in his eyes, "so, does that mean you're ready to try us again?" Corbyn interlocked out hands.
I looked down at our hands together, "I-"
"Hey guys!" Daniel said as he entered the kitchen, the other three boys following behind him.
Corbyn and I quickly drop our hands to our sides and put some distance between us.
"What were you guys doing?" Zach asked, looking between Corbyn and I.
"Just talking," Corbyn said.
"About?" Jack asked as he sat down at the counter, raising his eyebrows.
"Nothing," I said quickly.
Jack nodded suspiciously along with the other boys.
"Fix things with Jared and Christina yet?" Jonah asked Corbyn and I as he sat down next to Jack at the counter.
"Uh, not exactly," I said looking over at Corbyn.
Jonah furrowed his eyebrows, "why not?"
"Okay, enough with the questions!" Corbyn said.
"Jeez, sorry," the boys all said.
I leaned against the counter and let out a large breath.
What are we going to do?
