Chapter 22 ( it's long)

Erika POV

2 days...2 more days till I am full term and I cannot wait to see this little girl. Jake officially finished the nursery last week and now I can't wait till we get to bring Oakley home to it.

" Jake," I said as I looked at the alarm clock and it read 3:12 AM

" Jake wake up." I said as I kicked his thigh

" what, what's wrong are you in labor, did your water break" Jake says as I groan at him.

" no, I need salt and vinegar chips," I said as he groaned at me

" Erika, it is 3 in the morning are you serious?" Jake asked me as I nodded at him since he has turned his lamp on

" please baby" I asked him as he crawled out of bed and made his way downstairs to the kitchen to get my chips. He came back a few minutes later and had my bag of chips and a bottle of water in his hand.

" here," Jake said as he threw them to me

" thank you," I said as I opened the bag and began eating my not-so-midnight-midnight snack. He crawled back into bed next to me as I ate my snack and browsed Instagram on my phone. He fell back asleep immediately but I was still snacking. After I finished my snack I went to the bathroom before I crawled in bed next to Jake.

Jake POV

I woke up at 6 AM to go to the gym but of course, Caleb was already up and ready to take on the day so I worked out at the house with him after we both ate breakfast.

"dada" Caleb called out as I was washing his bowl which had had his fruit in it.

" what bud," I asked him as I looked towards him

" baby?" he said as he put his hand in the air.

" you sister is still in mama's tummy bud," I told him as he frowned

" she'll be here soon don't worry," I told him as I grabbed a paper towel and wiped his hands off before I picked him up and put him on the floor.

"let's go get you in some clothes so daddy can go workout," I said as I picked him up and walked to his room. I set him down on the floor and went into his closet and got out an Adidas track outfit and then some socks to put on him. I tossed him in the air and tickled his stomach as I lay him down on the changing table before I changed his diaper and then got him dressed. As I sat him up with his back against the wall so I could put his socks on Erika came into his room

" mama," Caleb said as she smiled and walked over to us both

" Hey, baby," I said as I pecked her lips.

" I think I'm in labor, I'm having contractions," she said as she sat in the rocking chair in Caleb's room

" You certain they are contractions," I asked as she nodded

" yeah," she said as she rubbed her stomach.

" ok well, are they strong?" I asked her as I put Caleb on the ground and he went to play with his toys

" not really," Erika said as I nodded

" ok so are both, yours, and the baby's bags packed completely?" I asked her and she nodded

" yeah now we just wait till my contractions are 5-1-1. five minutes apart, one minute long, for one hour then we go to the hospital." Erika said as I nodded

" ok when did you last have one" I asked her as she looked at Caleb

" 5 minutes ago." Erika said as I nodded
