I woke up the following morning, only to find out that it had rained overnight. I got out of bed and slipped on my ugg boots. I grabbed my iPad and shuffled downstairs to the kitchen. I didn't really feel like much so picked a banana from the fruit bowl and sat down at the dining table. I peeled my Banana and took a bite out of it. I pressed the home button on my iPad and the screen lit up. My lock screen was still full of notifications. It was crazy!!! I scrolled down the list and found that I had a snapchat from Shawn. I unlocked my iPad and opened up snapchat, held my finger to the screen so I could see Shawn's snapchat. It was a picture of him eating a banana.
It said 'morning!!!!!!!!!!'
I giggled to myself and sent him one back of me eating my banana. I began going through Instagram, liked a few photos, commented on a few things and finished my banana. As I was walking past the front door, the door bell went off.
'Ding Dong'
I opened the door and there was Shawn.
"Hey" I said to him
"Hi" he replied whilst we gave each other a hug.
"What are you doing here?" I asked him
"We can't both be eating bananas and not have a banana club now can we!!" He squealed. I laughed.
"Very good point, let me go get another banana." I said
Together we walked into the kitchen and I grabbed another banana from the fruit bowl. Shawn took out his phone and opened up vine. I stood behind him and he began to vine.
"Raise your banana if your in the banana club." He said
We both raised our bananas into the air and gracefully looked in a completely different direction.
"Hahahahahaha!! That was funny" I exclaimed.
"And post!!!!!!!!!" Shawn yelled.
We went up to my bedroom and sat on my bed.
"So what do you want to do today?" I asked Shawn
"Ummm..... There's a small pack down the street, did you want to take a soccer ball and kick it around?" He asked me
"Heck yes!!!!" I shouted.
"I should probably get dressed" Shawn nodded in agreement
"Do you have a ball in your backyard?" Shawn asked
"Yeah, there's a red tub outside with all the outside toys in it. It should be in there"
"Okay, I'll go get it while you get changed" he said
"Meet you out the front?" I asked
"Yep" Shawn said before he walked out and shut the door.
I went over to my wardrobe and got out the usual, T-shirt, hoodie, jeans and some weird socks. I put on my shoes, I grabbed my phone and walked downstairs to meet Shawn.
He was standing outside on the driveway with the red and black soccer ball under his arm.
"You ready?" I asked him.
"Yeah!!" He shouted
I grinned at him as we walked down the driveway, towards the park. We turned the corner of my street into his and walked past his house. Five minutes later we arrived at a large oval with a rusty looking park in the corner. The swings looked like they would disintegrate as soon as you touched them and the slide didn't look good either. Shawn drop kick the soccer ball into the middle of the oval. We both started sprinting towards it. Shawn got to it first, then continued to kick it away from me.
"Hey!!! No fair!!!" I yelled
Shawn turned around to face me, he had a very mischievous look on his face. He began running towards me, kicking the ball with him. I ran up to him, tackling him in the process, trying with all my strength to get the ball away from him. He put the ball between his feet and I kicked it right out behind him. He quickly turned around, but his foot hit the back of my knee and I fell backwards, landing on my bum.
"Owwww!!" I said
Shawn turned around, not having realised before that he had knocked me over. He stopped chasing the ball and jogged over to me. He knelt down beside me.
"Are you okay?" He asked me, with concern all over his face.
"The back go my shin really hurts." I said to him.
"I'm so sorry Amy!!! I really didn't mean to!!" He said
"It's alright, accidents happen." I said to him
He stood up and put out his hands, waiting for me to take them. I grabbed his hands and he carefully pulled me up onto my feet. I felt a small pain in my calf.
"My calf kinda hurts." I informed Shawn
"Maybe we should go..." Shawn said
"Yeah, good idea." I replied.
"Here let me give you a piggy back." He offered
"If you insist." I said.
Shawn went and got the soccer ball and gave it to me. He crouched down so I could get onto his back. I did I tiny jump and was up on his back. I wrapped my knees tightly around his ribs, and my arms around his neck, with the ball in my hands. We proceeded to walk like this until we had made it back to my driveway.
Shawn put me down and I kindly thanked him for the piggy back ride.
"So what school are you going to?" He asked me
"Ummm, I think it's called Pickering high school?" I said
Shawn's face light up.
"Really?! That's where I got!!" He exclaimed.
(I'm not exactly sure that this is where Shawn goes but in this story that's where he goes.)
"Really!!! Thank goodness!!! I was so worried I wasn't going to know anyone there!!" I said excitedly
"When do you start?" He asked me
"Monday the 3rd." I Said.
"Wait, that's tomorrow!!" Shawn said excitedly
I had completely forgotten what the date was.
"Oh my gosh!!!" I said worriedly
"It's okay, I'll come round tomorrow morning and we can catch the bus together." Shawn said.
"Thank you, that would be great!" I said
"Awesome, well I'll see you tomorrow then, and be careful about your calf." He said
"I will." I replied
We gave each other a hug, I watched Shawn walk down my driveway and turn onto the curb. I headed inside to put the ball away and get ready for my first day of school tomorrow.
