It took us around an hour to walk to the main town. Once we got to the Main Street Shawn grabbed my hand and began to pick up the pace. We were whizzing past shop after shop, all with intriguing window displays.
"Were are we going?" I asked
"You'll see" Shawn replied with a huge smirk on his face.
I was confused as ever. We rounded a corner onto a small street with only three or four shops on either side of the road. Shawn finally began to slow down and let go of my hand.

We stopped outside a small little wooden door with books surrounding the frame. My inner book nerd began to explode. Above the door was a large sign that read 'the bookshop'. Oh my gosh. I was totally fangirling on the inside.

Shawn, being the gentleman he is, opened the small wooden door for me, revealing the inside of the shop. It was far bigger on the inside than you would have expected. ( just like the Tardis ) Dark brown shelves lined the odd placement of walls and every shelf was over flowing with some of the most peculiar books I had ever seen. And all just the way I liked my books to look ( and smell ), hardcover, beat up, tea stained pages and the gorgeous smell of old books. My mouth fell open as my eyes gazed around the most magical place I'd ever seen on earth.
"I know how much you love to read. So when I found this place I instantly wanted to bring you here." Shawn said softly from behind me.
I turned around to face him, standing there for a second before I could say anything.
"This place....." My mouth still wide open from amazement.
"Wow. I'm lost for words." I looked around the shop again, still taking in everything that was around me.
"Thank you." Was all it could manage to say. I looked Shawn in the eye and said it again. I tightly wrapped my arms around his neck, giving him a massive hug. His arms snaked their way around my torso and squeezed back.

Two hours later we were still in 'the bookshop' searching and scanning the shelves for anything that tweaked our interest. As I made my way deeper and deeper into the shop, the smell of old books becoming stronger and stronger, my mind racing with all the strange and beautiful titles and books before me, the heavier the stack of books I had collected got.

I looked around for Shawn and found him in the comic book section ( which I had already gone through ) going through a pile of x-men comics. Shawn looked up at me and laughed.
"What??"
"The amount of books you have in your hands." He said, still laughing.
"Well I'm pretty sure you knew this was going to happen." I replied.
"Yeah, I guess I did. Do you want some help?"
I nodded as he took half the books from me. I quickly scanned the stack he was holding, pick a few from the pile and put them back in their places on the old shelves. Then proceeded to to the same thing with my stack.

When we got to the counter I had chosen 10 books out of 18. Whoops😁.
The cashier was an old man with white fluffy hair and a long white beard. He had kind eyes and half moon glasses that sat on the tip of his hooked nose. He reminded me of Dumbledore, quite a lot.
"You've picked quite a collection of books here miss." The old man said with a kind smile.
"She certainly has." Shawn said, returning the old mans kind smile. God shawn has a nice smile.
"That'll be $28.40" the old man said. I gave him the correct money, as the receipt printed he put the books in a canvas tote bag with the shop logo on it. Placing the receipt in the bag, the old man handed it to Shawn and whispered something to him. But not as quietly as he would have liked. Shawn laughed, looked at me, back to the old man and smiled.

As we walked out of 'the bookshop' I asked Shawn want the old man had said.
"I'll tell you when the right time comes." Shawn said, even though I knew the old man had said "She's a keeper."

A freezing wind began to blow through the town and even with my coat on I was still cold to the bone, I started to shiver.
"Are you okay?" Shawn asked worriedly.
"No, it's freezing." I rubbed my arms, in hopes that friction would warm them up, but it was no use.
"Here, wear this." Shawn took off his scarf and wrapped it around my neck a few times.
"Thank you." I said.
He put his arm around my shoulders again as we walked back down the Main Street. I began to think a few things over in my head as we walked home.

The main thing being that I think I might like Shawn Mendes.
