"I'm so bored." Clint complained as he sat on the couch flipping through the channels on the TV. I sat next next to him, with Thor on the other side of me also watching the TV. Natasha lounged on the floor, laying on her stomach as she read '101 Reasons Why Men Are Cowards.' Steve fiddled with his phone while Tony tried desperately to convince him to make an Instagram.
"I don't get it - why do I need an 'Insta,' and what is it?" Steve said, with confusion filling his tone.
"Oh, this is gonna end so badly." Bruce commented, holding back a laugh as he played with his own phone. "Just let me make you one! Please?" Tony whined, as he tried - and failed - to steal the phone from Steve, our resident fossil.
"Oh my god, the great Anthony Edward Stark said 'please.' You should feel very special, Steve." I said, with a teasing smile. "I agree with the Captain. What is this Instagram, and why does he need it?" Thor asked, obviously just as much confused as Steve was.
I doubled over from laughter, and Thor gave me an incredulous look as Tony's jaw hung open. Nat and Bruce joined me, as Pepper walked into the room. "People. I am trying to work. What's with all the noise?" She asked, holding her hands on her hips.
"He- They- Instagram-" I wheezed, struggling to get words out as I laughed. She turned to Nat, hoping the only sane one of the group could give her some answers. "Explain this, please?"
Setting down her book, she responded, "Tony wants to give Thor and Steve Instagram. Y/N thinks it's absolutely hilarious. But she's still a little loopy from the pain meds, so everything is cracking her up right now."
"Excuse me," I said, making a move to defend my dignity. "Bruce thinks its funny too." He shook his head as he chuckled, and said, "She's right about that." I finally managed to control myself, but when I saw Steve and Thor still looking confused as ever, I broke out into another fit of giggles.
"She really can't stand it." Clint commented, as he stared at the TV - bored as ever as he watched an infomercial. "Oh, wait! What if we watched a Disney Movie? That would cure your boredom, Clint, I get to watch one of my favorite movies, Tony would be distracted from his Instagram thing, and Steve gets to learn some stuff!" I said, excitedly clapping my hands in delight.
"Y/N's really gone full little-kid mode, hasn't she." Nat muttered. "What is a Disney Movie?" Thor asked, turning to me. My jaw dropped as quickly as Tony's had before.
"Ha! See?! It's so frustrating!" Tony yelled, as he pointed a finger at me. "Thor, seriously?! It's - you'll see." I said, rubbing my temples. I did not want to explain a movie collection based on princesses to an actual prince.
"Oh, now we've really got to watch one." Clint said, excitedly. Tony plopped down on the huge couch, as Pepper left the room to grab blankets from a nearby storage closet. "How about Beauty and the Beast?" I asked. "That's my favorite."
Clint switched the TV to Netflix. "Sure." He responded with a childish grin gracing his face. "I'm down for that if you guys are." Bruce said. "Works for me." Natasha added as she caught a blanket Pepper tossed her.
Soon enough, the movie started. While it was playing, Thor yawned, and stretched. One outstretched arm landed over my shoulder. I looked up to him in slight surprise. He winked in response, and I rolled my eyes at his bold move and focused on the movie again.
Smooth, Thor. Tony must've taught you that one.
Despite the cheesiness of it all, I turned on my side, snuggling into his warmth as I laid my head on his toned chest and watched as 'Be Our Guest' played through the speakers, filling the main room with cheery music.
