After the very awkward but fan-fucking-tastic kiss, Owen threw his self in between Connor and I. The force made Connor fall off the bed and land with an oomph. I smiled and held back a laugh. Owen saw and smiled warmly at me.
Owen turned toward Nolan and glared. It was obvious that Owen was saying, ‘move or I’ll move you.’ Nolan took one glance at Owen’s face and practically flew into the chair next to the bed. I sent Nolan a grateful and amused smile. He gave me a weak smile in return.
I found the one ordeal cute, but when Owen lifted me up and sat his self in the middle of my hospital bed; I was kind of annoyed. That was my seat, how dare he take it. It wasn’t until Owen placed me in his lap, did I realize what he was doing. He wanted to cuddle with me, and it was so freaking adorable. I felt his arms wrap around my waist, and then put the bed up into a sitting up right position. I grabbed the covers and pulled them up to my waist just under Owen’s arms. Thankfully, I was wearing pajama shorts under my hospital gown.
“Okay, just a quick question guys.” I said once I had gotten comfortable in Owen’s lap. I could feel something hard pressing against my thigh, but he’s a teenage guy with raging hormones. It was to be expected, and I know he’d never act on it.
“Shoot.” Connor smiled.
“How did I get to the hospital? I mean, who found me?” I cocked my head to the side in confusion. I had to clear up why the incident happened, but this question had been bugging me.
“Our mom forgot to sign a paper at the dentist office. She went back, because the receptionist was hounding her. Anyways, when she got there she found you passed out on the floor and called 911. Owen texted her checking in, and she told him all about it. When he got to school it was lunchtime, and Carson was finding out about it from your mom. We happened to be there talking to him, since we couldn’t seem to find you. We put two and two together and rushed here with Carson.” Connor explained.
“Whoa…” I was lucky, but that was seriously embarrassing. The first day meeting his mom and we were already off to a bad start.
“Why’d you do it?” Nolan blurted.
“I was overwhelmed… I needed to get away, and when Connor told me Owen was at the dentist I kind of went looking for him, and walked the whole way there.” I blushed.
“What? You put yourself in danger! My dentist is twenty miles from the school!” Owen growled and tightened his arms around me. I guess he thought I got a cab or bus to the dentist office.
“I kind of lost my mind for a second. I’m sorry for worrying you guys.” I frowned.
“What did the doctor say?” Connor asked.
“I’m just dehydrated and exhausted. They might release me today.”
I didn’t know whether that was good or bad. I get to go home and deal with my mother and Carson. Not to mention, my dad is coming home tomorrow. F my life.
Short chapter to clear up loose ends :)
