Chapter 1 - The Walking STD
“Evelyn Stevens?” My math teacher was calling out the role. I had to laugh at her confused face when she realized she had a new student. Honestly, I had every intention on speaking with the teacher once she arrived, but she was so frazzled I couldn’t bring myself to interrupt her rush.
“Here!” I raised my hand, flashing her a bright smile.
“Are you new?”
“Yes.” I slowly nodded my head. I think she is probably going to be my favorite teacher. I swear she is the epitome of stereotypical blonde. It’s great.
“Well what are you doing back there? Come introduce yourself to the class.” I take back what I just thought. She is nowhere in hell near my favorite teacher.
“Well you see, Ms. Fitzpatrick, I have this horrible condition,” no lie there, “called laziness. My doctor suggested that I don’t make any unnecessary actions.” A few kids laughed.
“Ms. Stevens.” She gave me a disapproving look. I sighed and complied only because it wasn’t fair to my family if I continued to be a problem child.
“Hi everyone. I’m Evelyn Stevens. Most of you know my big brother, Carson Stevens. I just stopped online schooling and decided to try out public school.” Who knew lying could be so exhausting?
“Thank you, Evelyn. You may return to your seat.” Ms. Fitzpatrick smiled at me.
Once I sat down, a girl who seemed to be a year older than me turned around to face me.
“You’re related to Carson?” Her eyes were huge, almost bug like. It was so creepy.
“Yeah, that’s what I said.”
“Oh well, we’re kind of a thing.” She smiled at me.
“Um, excuse me?”
“Carson has been pining after me since the first day of school. Just last week I finally gave in. God, he’s so good in bed.” She sighed dreamily.
“Listen, um...” I trailed off hoping she’d give me her name.
“Delilah.”
“Okay, listen Delilah. I don’t care how good my brother is in bed, that’s just so gross. I’m going to have to learn how to block out disturbing memories thanks to you. Also, I know my big brother. We’re as close as two siblings can be. Carson is and has never been a man whore. I know for a fact you’re not Julia his girlfriend. I met her this morning. So, stop spreading fake rumors about my brother. He might not be able to kick your ass, but I can.” I sent her a very menacing glare. Ever since I was diagnosed, Carson has been super over protective when it came to me. It’s my job to be the same with him.
“God, you’re such a bitch.”
"If the shoe fits, but it’s still better than being a lying slut.” I sneered.
I started laughing internally when she gave me the bird before turning around. Some people are so immature. Not going to lie, I am one of those people sometimes.
“That was really funny.” The boy next to me whispered while the teacher was talking. I just now noticed him. He had no tan what so ever with light freckles over his face. His hair was a light blonde. He was actually really cute and had a great smile.
“Well, the walking STD should know that I’d defend my brother.” He laughed and I smiled.
“Yeah, that was a pretty stupid thing to say.”
“Does that surprise you? I mean after that two minute conversation with her I could already tell she wasn’t the brightest crayon in the box.”
“I like you.” He flashed me that cute grin.
“Have you ever played around in the sheets with that?” I pointed my thumb towards Delilah in front of me.
“Hell no! She doesn’t have the right parts.” He gave me a disgusted look.
“Wait, you’re gay?”
“Yeah.”
“I like you too, um…” I trailed off again.
“Nolan.” We both smiled at each other
For the rest of class we talked, and it turns out we have the same exact schedule minus the two last classes. I could already tell Nolan is going to be my new best friend.

Nolan on the side.
