Can I just say, before this begins, I don't see how this story has a high ranking in anything! I am actually amazed. It gives me hope that more people will see it, I'll actually be able to implement giving you, the readers, choices in how you want your story to go. I cannot express how excited I am. Feel free to leave a comment, letting me know you're actually reading it! That there are people who's interested in this. It'll help me know when I should begin throwing in choices near the end of chapters. Ah! Now onto the chapter! Ha, one more thing. I done research on the elemental power before hand. Your gi, shall you possibly chose to stay, will be yellow as it is the representative color of air. Feel free to think of it as another color!
~I followed the lead of Nya,wondering why I had to come now? Couldn't I have come another time! I could've stayed back and watched the Bounty, ya know. But no, I had to prove myself. And I needed a place to stay. I could stay here until I find another place. This is just.. temporary.
"It's time to finish this once and for all, brother." Sensei Wu, using what I now know as Spinjitzu, appears in front of a demonic being. Garmadon, I assume. Having heard his name a few times. A bad guy. Their worst enemy, currently.
Me, the Ninja, and Nya land behind Wu, be stumbling, nearly about to fall on my face. That would've been embarrassing. Garmadon laughs, though his hatred filled red eyes landed on me with a sense of curiosity. "Bring it on, fools!" His voice sent chills down my spine, my breath catching in my throat. I clearly was an imposter of the green Ninja, my body obviously feminine. I take a side glance at Nya, then look forward once more as Lloyd rolls in. He hops to his feet, standing before the dark, four-armed man. He sends a blast of icy power towards Garmadon, it strikes the top of his weapon, freezing it over. Garmadon looks to Lloyd, expression faultering. It looked sad, shocked.
"Lloyd, is that you?" He asked, taking a step back. Yes, that was the real Lloyd. Duh. Why did he seem so surprised?
"Yeah. I've grown a littler since the last time you saw me, dad." Lloyd stood his ground, shifting into a slight fighting position. My (e/c) widened as I gaped between the two. Dad? This..dare I say, attractive young boy was the seed of a..demon looking being?! How the hell is that even possible? Garmadon continues to back up, the three snakes around him staring at the boy as Garmadon turns to run as he says 'Stop him!'
The snake approach Lloyd, hissing as they did. Everyone, except Sensei, launch forward to attack the snake. I watch the scene unfold. Lloyd brings his fist into the face of the one closest to him, knocking the snake backwards. Kai takes out another, launching forward and bringing his foot into its stomach. It stumbles, crashing into another. Lloyd freezes their feet and they all take the chance to dash after Garmadon. I'm hesitant, but I follow as fast as I can. My heart was racing, as if it were about to bust out of my chest.
I use the air, letting it shift into a wind that throws the door open before we reach it. The Ninja and Nya race in, followed by me, Wu, and Lloyd.
"He used the Mega-Weapon again!" Cole exclaims, gesturing to the swirling portal before us.
"Oh swell! Everytime he uses that thing, something really bad happens. Now what?" Jay sighs, his shoulders sagging some as he does so. He throws his hands hand, looking around before dropping them. What's the Mega-Weapon?
"What's going on?" Cole glances to the ground as everything begins shaking, sand beginning to pile around us slowly.
"Is..are we..is this sinking?" I stare at the ground wide-eyed, my heart pounding even louder. The sound of sand moving filled my ears, along with the loud thundering of my heart.
"Worse. The city is returning back into the ground, as if it had never existed in the first place!" said Zane, his voice sounding slightly panicked. A tone I'd never heard from him.
"What does that even mean?" I shifted in the sand, hating the feeling of it rising around us, slipping under the gi.
"Garmadon has gone back in time, to make sure Lloyd never becomes the green Ninja!" Zane says, peering at the looming portal in front of us. I move closer, shifting through the sand as they continue to talk behind me. If he can create portals to go back in time, could he create portals to go into another dimension?
The air around me shifts, tensing as it jerks me forward into the portal. I'm whipped around and around in circles, my ears roaring with the loud sound of the portal. I'm dropped from the air, barely being suspended above a shallow pile of mud. The air comforted me, feeling almost apologetic. It was as though it was speaking to me, something I'd never known or experienced before. But in my lost moment of thoughts, I hear yells and a body is thrown on mine. I'm slammed into the mud, it stuck into the scratchy sand beneath the gi and my clothes beneath, making everything ten times worse. I'm helped up, Kai's arms slipping beneath my arm pits as he pulls me up.
"We've not got time to waste, we'll discuss you being more careful later. (Before I continue, can I just say I'm not even half way through the freaking episode?! This is gonna be a long chapter..)" Kai glances back, checking on the other Ninja before looking ahead.
"Where are we?!" Jay mutters as we all begin scrambling out of the mud and towards the back. It proved difficult and I urged the air to lift us up from the sticky mess and place us on the grass ahead.
"You mean, when are we.." Zane corrects, flicking some of the mud off of him.
"Four Weapons.." Kai mumbles, his voice somewhat distant. "Huh. My parent's shop..Nya and I used to work there. Wait..this is the day Garmadon sent those skeletons to kidnap my sister. We've got to warn them!"
"If you change anything, you're likely to change everything Kai!" I say, glancing around for a better alternative. I'm sure they didn't jump in to follow me. It was more so to save the past. "Your..our world, was shaped by everything that has happened before. Decisions, actions, everything. If you change anything that has happened, it will change what has happened up till now."
"Who knew (Y/N) was smart?" Kai shrugs, glancing at me. A smirk shone in his eyes, the corners slightly wrinkled. "This was where everything happened, so if Garmadon came here..he plans to somehow stop me from going with Sensei Wu to become a ninja and save Nya. But how does he plan to change it?"
"If..only Sensei were here to guide us." Cole mumbles, glancing around. All eyes landed on past Sensei Wu as he walks the path, bamboo staff in hand.
"Maybe he can. Though we can't let past Kai and Nya see us, it would change the past completely." I say, biting my lip. There had to be someway.. "Follow my lead."
We dart behind piles of rock, making our way around to the side of the shop. We listen as Kai, sounding douchey, talks to Sensei before the male exists to shop. He walks along the front of the building, headed to walk past us. Kai leaps behind him, placing an arm around him and his hand on his mouth. He whispers in his ear before bringing him around the corner and to us.
"Wouldn't..talking to Sensei also drastically change our future?" Jay says, his eyes widening some.
"Yes, but it's too late for that. What's done is done." I nod, confirming Jay's realization. We needed help, and Sensei would have to be that help. "Look, Wu, we need your help. We've traveled back in time to stop Garmadon and warn you of impending doom. Can you help?"
"I..don't understand. But I will try." Sensei said, looking utterly confused, but proceeds to nod.
"There's not much time to explain, so in short a crew of skeletons are about to show up. We believe Garmadon will as well, possibly to hurt me. He's trying to alter the past and stop everything from happening." Kai spoke up, his words catching Wu off guard. The elder looks shocked at the mention of Garmadon, his eyes widening.
A dark, purplish-black shadow begins looming across the distant sky, casting darkness over the world. A large skeletal vehicle, followed by smaller vehicles, leaps atop of the hill and screeches to a stop for several moments before a voice could be heard yelling 'Attack!' People begin screaming in the distance, racing out of the path of the barreling vehicles. They stop harshly in front of the small shop, skeletons hopping out of each one. Past Kai stalks forward, sword in hand and pieces of slight body armor.
As the Ninja begin talking and past Kai tries fighting off the skeleton, a ringing begins sounding in my ears. I stumble backwards from the hole at which we watched from, backing into something cold. Numbly, I turn, looking up at a tall skeleton. My heart stops, well not really, but it sure felt like it. I heard mumbling behind the ringing. But Jay was in front of me and soon the skeleton was nothing but a pile of bones. My body sways, my chest beginning to ache. What was happening? The world soon turns to darkness and I was falling.I awoke to yelling and a harsh headache. Someone was holding me, their body radiating warmth. They jumped, I assume, wind rushing over us before we were once more on the ground. My eyes slowly open, the ringing that had once been in my ears long gone. I look up, seeing those fire filled eyes above me. I heard the soft mumble of talking, then the soft tapping of the bamboo staff as it faded.
Hours later we were on the roof of a monistary, watching past Kai trained. As the Ninja talked, I watched. We had no clue what had happened to me back there. Possibly I was being erased from their past, too. Now, for the situation at hand..if Kai is slacking now, and the only reason he became a Ninja.."What if we kidnap Nya? Act like we're the skeleton, kidnap here, and then give her to the skeleton. You'll train, get her back..and everything will be back on track?"
Four pairs of eyes turn on me, widening with realization. After a moments thought, all agree. Later on into the night..Kai slips in, prepared to 'talk sense' into his past self, while me and the other three prepare to kidnap Nya. I keep watch as the trio slip into Nya's room.. I hear their morning and then a soft gasp.
"Unhand me skeletons! Whenever my brother finds out about this he'll be mad!" Nya yells, her voice muffled from the bag she now struggled in.
"Actually.. he'll be relieved. We're sorry, Nya." I say, sighing softly. C'mon Kai. Hurry up. We need to go..
"Uh.. guys, we've got company. Lower your masks so they don't recognize us." Zane gasps before they begin fighting theirselves. I hold Nya, though as she begins struggling, my grip fails. They bag falls, though it and her are caught by Kai who scales up the pillars and training equipment. We watched as past Kai finally exits, finding that his sister is gone..now to fix everything else. Delivering Nya to the skeleton.
We scale tree after tree, not much later, me on Cole's back and Kai with Nya's bag. We were searching for the skeleton camp in a dense forest. Soon reaching them, preparing to deliver the girl. Kai drops the bag into a skeleton's lap, and then we make our exit.
We sit in a tree, looking over the sleeping past Ninja as we talk with Wu. We had to make sure everything went back as planned, so staying here made clear sense. I carefully climb the tree, making it to the top, observing our surroundings. Though, the ringing enters my ears once more, the aching in my chest..no! No! Not here. But it was too late. My vision began turning black, and I was once more following. The last thing I remember was a sharp pain in the back of my head and then everything went quiet.."Do you think you could ever go back? To your home, I mean." Lloyd asks as we walk down the hall towards the training room. We were late, but the ninja would be fine. If it was a problem they would've came looking for us.
"If it was possible, I'd have nothing to go back for. My home was destroyed, and the likeability of my parent's even being alive is slim." I shrug, toying with my bow's string. He throws his arm over my shoulder, a small side hug. I tensed, though relaxed under the comforting warmth. Though we reach the room, and his arm was gone, taking the comfort with it.
"Hey guys, sorry we're late. We were looking at my old co-" The ninja rushed him, throwing their arms around us. Yet again I tensed, though laughed it off, confused at what was going on.
"You're here!!" They all exclaim in unison, stepping back to stare at us. All happy, relieved. What was going on..?
"Er..yeah. Of course. Why wouldn't we be?" I let out a hesitant laugh, glancing between them all. Though they began talking, explaining what had happened. Going back in time.. Mega-Weapon? I was getting lost, watching as Kai tossed a watermelon into the air, catching myself a slice. They began laughing, confusing me even more. "What's so funny..?"
"I think some things are best left in the past. Let's just focus on the future.."
