[JACK'S POV]
I didn't think it could be possible to get both a boyfriend and a date in the same hour, but alas, reality surprises me again.

I suppose I should make myself a bit spiffy for a good first impression.
But still, he'll love me no matter what, and, to be honest, we're literally just going to a deli. I don't need to change my clothes.

Okay, just maybe my hair?
Like, I could comb it back a bit?
Okay, I'll do that.

I take out a comb from my bathroom and comb back my hair. I look at myself in the mirror. Eh, I still look like myself and not overdressed in the slightest.

I guess it's time to go now...

I get into my car (yes, I may be an orphan, but I can afford a goddamn car) and drive to Jacobi's Deli, which is a bit down the street from where I live.

I pull up to the deli. There are a few cars there. There are the cars of the employees, plus one I don't recognize. I guess that one's Davey's car.

I get out of my car and walk into Jacobi's deli.

Mr. Jacobi greets me upon arrival.
"Good afternoon, Jack," he says.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Jacobi," I reply.
"I assume Davey's already here?"

Mr. Jacobi nods.
"He reserved a table and said he would wait for you."

I nod, quickly finding Davey (whom I identified by the marker on his left arm) and sitting down across from him.

"It's so nice to finally meet you, Davey," I say.

Davey smiles lightly.
"Nice to meet you too, Jack."

He's... so handsome! Damn, I'm lucky I was matched up with such a handsome guy.

"So... handsome," I mutter to myself.

Davey chuckles.
"You really think so?" he asks.

I chuckle, nodding.
"Yeah."

"You sure it's not the whole 'me-being-your-soulmate' thing?"
"No, no, of course not. I really do think you'se hella handsome."

Davey pulls out his phone and takes a picture of me.

"Whatcha doin'?" I ask him.

"I'm just taking a picture. Why, you don't want me to?"

I chuckle.
"No, no, take all the pictures you want, Davey."

Davey takes a couple more pictures of me, seeming to be enjoying himself.

"You take a lotta pictures?" I ask him.

"Uh-uh, no, I don't," Davey replies, putting away his phone.
"I just wanna... you know, uh..."

"Make a memory of the day you met your true love?" I finish.

Davey nods.
"Yeah."

Mr. Jacobi comes over to our table, ready to take our orders.

"Oh, I get it now," Mr. Jacobi says, noticing the identical marks on our left arms.
"You two... you're soulmates, ain't you?"

I nod.
"Yeah. I love him."

Davey chuckles a bit.
"And, uh... I love him too."

"Aww, you'se so sweet!" I tell Davey.

"So this is the reason you two are here together, huh?" Mr. Jacobi concludes.

I nod.

"Anyway, you two ready to order?"

Davey and I order our food, and Mr. Jacobi retreats to the other room.

My eyes land on Davey again.

"You... you'se so handsome, Dave," I tell him.
"I can't keep my damn eyes off you."

My eyes scan Davey.
Perfect physique, nice and tall, breathtakingly beautiful hazel eyes...

Damn, I'm really in love with this guy.

[DAVEY'S POV]
I never thought I'd go on a date with a guy in my life, yet here I am.
Jack Kelly's sitting right in front of me. My soulmate.

I haven't even personally known him for even an hour, and he's already falling head over heels for me. Either he really has a thing for me or he's an idiot. Maybe both.

Then again, I've heard that's what being with your soulmate does to a person.

"You payin' attention?" Jack asks, bringing me back to reality.

"Oh, uh, yeah," I respond.

"You seemed to have been lost in thought," Jack says.

"I-I'm sorry," I tell him.
"Just... your comment caught me off guard."

Jack laughs.
"Did it now?"

I nod slowly.
Jack reaches across the table, gently grabbing my hand.

I blush softly.
"What-what are you doing?" I ask.

Jack presses a soft kiss to my hand.
"Just, uh... kissin' your hand like the gentleman I am."

The second Jack's lips touch my hand, I melt inside.
We hardly even know each other, yet look how he's acting.

A little smile creeps its way onto my face.

"Ya liked that, eh?" Jack chuckles.

"I... uh-yeah."
I nod.

"Well, I know what you'll like even more," he flirts.
"You think me kissin' your hand is an amazing feeling? Well, boy, have I got a surprise for you."

I blush a little more. I know exactly to what he's eluding to.

"A-a kiss?" I ask.
"Right here?"

I point to my lips, and Jack nods.

Jack quickly moves from his side of the table to mine, smirking a bit.

He sits down next to me and takes my hand into his, kissing it a second time.

Then, while I'm distracted, Jack comes closer to me and connects our lips.

I blush even harder, not knowing what to do. I end up kissing him back, since that's what makes sense.

Jack slowly breaks our kiss, chuckling.
"Didja like that?"

I nod, too stunned to speak.

He just... kissed me. And it was amazing.

We go through our meal, sneaking little glances at each other.
After we're done, we leave the deli hand in hand.

"Well, that was fun," Jack says, smiling.

I nod.
"Yeah. It was."

"Wanna maybe go meet at my house? I'll follow you to yours, then I'll take you to mine. That way, we both know where each other's houses are."

"Yeah, sure."

Jack quickly kisses me again, then runs off yelling, "I love you, Dave!".

I chuckle.
"I love you too," I yell after him.

Then we both get into our cars. I smile to myself, starting the engine and heading out of the parking lot.
