After everyone was out and I said one more goodbye to marshall I went over to Noah to check on Allen and over to Derek to see how Kassandra was doing a few minutes later we all made our way into the church once we all inside we made our towards the front and sat down and wait for the paster to come greet us. Once we figured out who would sit where I was finally able to get catch my breath. ( Meaning I was finally able to relax a few minutes seeing as I have been very busy with making sure that everything goes smoothly). No I understand what my mom meant when she told me to one day at time because when you get married and have a family of your own  it isn't always easy. After sitting a few minutes I got up and went over to Noah and Derek to check on Allen and Kassandra one last time before I made way to talk with Pastor Ken and his wife Beverly. Once I was done making sure Noah and Derek were going to be okay with babysitting the twins for part of the day I made my way to the main office and waited for pastor Ken and his wife while I was waiting Sargent Patterson and a few other other commanding officers had just enter and came over and gave me hug and asked me how I was doing and that everything was all set and ready just came to see if there were any last minute things that need to be done. I wanted to also let the pastor know that even though it is a wake and funeral service that some of the officers will have the guns on them just in case of any thing comes up we are aleast prepared.  I seen that Derek and Noah are watching Allen and Kassandra if they ever need a break I would be than happy to help. Oh and by the way I know you probably heard a few times already but Happy birthday from all of us officer in Chicago. All the officer in every district sign a huge card for you and we even had shirt made and that got signed as well. I told him thank you so very much. A few minutes later pastor Ken walked in with his wife and he came over to me and we shook hands and he told me how sorry he was for my loss and that him and his are here if I needed any further guided after today. I told him thank you. We then went over the schedule for the church service and then for the banquet as well he, had asked his wife to make sure that front door are open and the book is out and ready for everyone to sign. After she left I had asked pastor Ken if it would be okay if Allen and Kassandra were up on stage with me as well I didn't want to just go head and have them up there with me because I know that the stage will already be full with all the choir members. He looked at me and said you don't have to ask me today is a day that we are supposed to celebrate Joshua life and I know that if Joshua was here he would want them to up there with you. A few minutes later we made our way back into service area and as I made my way to my seat I could believe how many people were already here there had to be at least over 200 people by know most of them being Chicago cops and family and close friends of mine and Joshua's. I looked at phone to check the time we had at least 10 minutes before the services started. I quickly grabbed my speech and went over it in my head once more before church started. A few minutes later I seen funeral direct coming in with the casket and before he made his way down the aisle the 13 district along with a few of their other commanding officers all were in the outside of the pews I heard Sargent Patterson say something and then the all did the salute sign and then one of many songs that would be played later in the day came on and the funeral director made his way slowly with down the aisle with the casket. Before he had made it to the end the pastor had asked me I wanted the casket open during church services and I didn't hesitate to say yes.i could already feel the tears coming.i quickly dab my cheeks and we to find my seat. After making the final adjusts the pastor had made his way up the stand began the services.
