Once as pastor Ken made his way up to the podium to begin thee services the choir started singing Amazing Grace and once they were finished pastor began to speak " Good evening everyone and on behalf of Ashlynn and the all of the Chicago police departments would like to thank you for coming to help celebrate the life of Joshua Edwards. At this moment I would like to invite Joshua wife Ashlynn Marie (Scott) Edwards up to the stage to let us know just what an incredible guy Joshua was. As I make my way up to podium and quickly motion to Derek and Noah to bring up both Allen and Kassandra. As we were making there way up to the stage, I was just about ready to start when I felt something hard hit me in my upper shoulder I couldn't figure out what it was until I rub my shoulder and see I had blood on hand, when I looked around I seen that everyone else seems to have been in a panic. The first think I did was look over to Derek and Noah to make sure both Allen and Kassandra were okay and I notice there okay. When I try to look for Danny and or Jake my vision started to become blurry and I seen someone running up to me but I couldn't quite make out who it was. I try to ask who it was what happened before I could ask I my body became weak and I fell to  floor and I could here that same person telling to stay with us. I then tried to ask the person what happened and its who it was reading my mind and that's when they told me I was shot by a sniper. A few minutes later I heard the person telling to hold on air care had just arrived stay with us Ashlynn, everything is going to be okay. They then told me don't worry Allen and Kassandra will be taken good care of. At this point my eyes were getting starting to get heavy. I tried to keep them open but I just couldn't. I could feel whatever was going on around me. It was hard to hear though as I look to my left I seen Joshua standing next to me telling me its okay. I had asked him what happen I thought were dead he then told that he was and I am dream of him and that I was shot and at the moment unconscious from the loss of blood. But right as of right know two air care paramedics are taking you to the hospital. I had told him how much I wished he was here on Earth with me and the Allen and Kassandra and look at me and told he loved me that it's okay I understand but I have to go now just know that I watching over the 3 of you.
