Chapter 1- Faded

Mason's POV

Everyday, people die, you hear about it and you sympathize about how sad it is and how this person didn't deserve it but unless you are close to the person you never know if they deserve it or not. My mate died about 17 years ago and although I'm also slowly dying i can not say he didn't deserve it. He was simply insane but i loved him, I loved everything about him but then he did try to do what was almost impossible and I killed him. I had to.

I met him while the pack was under an attack. Our pack had heard that some humans found out about us and was planning to strike at midnight. Naturally as the Beta, the Alpha had asked me to help him stand guard at the entrance to help fight but then decided it was better if i waited with the Luna and the new born child to make sure they were both okay. I was doing just that when...

*17 years ago*

I waited in front of a locked steel door making sure no one got in but then I heard a sound not so far away from where I stood. I followed it to make sure nothing was there but when I got there I realized how dumb I was. There was nothing there.

A scream.

I'm ran back towards the room, for a minute every thing stopped. i couldn't lose the Luna and the future Alpha. I have failed if i do but for some reason my wolf was happy. You know the feeling of wanting something but being to scared to approach it. That's how i felt. My heart was beating at a rapid speed. It was fear and joy, i loved the feeling. It was strange. I got to the room and the first thing that came to mind was....

MATE~

mate? ......MATE! but.... where....

I stared at my mate and my heart shook for a second but then it cracked into pieces. Out of all the things my mate could be i wasn't excepting this....

my mate was a male....A man that stood at about 6'4. he was tall like really tall well for me at least standing at an height of 5'8. Most didn't think i would be the Beta but i was tougher than i looked.

my mate was human..... not just any human. i could feel the hatred in his heart even though i knew he was a bit attracted to me. i saw his expression soften when he saw me for a second, but only a second, it was gone in a blink in fact.

But the worst part was the gun. He had a gun and it pointed at the future alpha's head. he had knocked both the Luna and the Future Alpha out. Impressive. The Luna is a very strong female wolf so when I saw the gun he was pointing at the future Alpha's head. I wondered how I could be so unlucky, I was given such an evil and vile human as my mate. I'm doomed

"Put the gun down please" I spoke softly and carefully. He wasn't looking very pleased and provoking him probably wasn't the best option right now.

"or what?" HE SPOKE... he spoke.... he voice was silky but yet filled with that hatred and venom. It was like poisonous honey, sweet but sour. Enough cringe it was simply amazing.

"I'll have to kill you" I decided there was no point lying. I would kill him. Although I already love him I have a responsibility and I vowed to protect the Luna and Future Alpha with every thing I had and that's exactly what I'm going to do.

"You won't" I was surprised. He honestly didn't looked fazed.

"why's that"

" because I'm your mate" he said mockingly.

then...he shot the Luna

and I attacked.

I ran towards him and transformed into a brown wolf. I was not that big but compared to a human I was huge. I pinned him to the floor and for a second I could hear his heartbeat. It was kind of nice and peaceful but it beating fast. He looked at me, still not fazed and he scoffed.

"Pathetic I told you that you won't dare. You are inlo-" He wasn't able to finish his sentence. I had looked over at the Luna and realized the gravity of what he did. He killed the Luna. He killed my best friend so I killed him. I ripped his head off and watched it roll on the floor. His eye were still open staring at me. My heart broke into a million piece as I grabbed the Future Alpha and look at my best friend one last time then I left the room.

I got the baby to a maid to join the fight...

Expect i started to fade...

Alrightttttyyyyyy so like my first ever story which was sweet sweet bastard I wasn't able to finish because I had like a plot and everything but after moving and stuff I kinda forgot but I will make up for it with this and hopefully I finish this but like here's chapter one.
