"Y-yes?" She asks a little nervous
He looks at her as if he's thinking deeply "It's dangerous, Persephone" he whispers as if he said it any longer it might be more dangerous
"How dangerous?" She asks
"I'm not sure we should do it. It's not really the best idea" he says trying to back out
She grabs his hand and sits back a little so she can see him "Hades please. Enough beating around the bush. I'm happy here, I like being here. It's my choice"
"Yes but if I do anything I'll be helping and I'll get in trouble too" he argues
She sighs "Fine. I was just hoping you would consider it"
He looks at her worried "I'm sorry but the last thing I need is to be stirring up trouble with Zeus. So... I should probably take you back. It's where you belong"
She looks away thinking for a minute "I... I just don't think I can"
"Persephone you have to. There's nothing up for discussion. You are going back to Olympus. Now" he says returning to his cold hearted way of talking that didn't show a hint of happiness or kindness
She stands up and slowly walks to the door while facing him "If you can't catch me you can't take me back because I'm definitely not going back willingly" she says crossing her arms
If he was going to talk like he had power over her then she was going to make it difficult
She turns around and flings open the doors. She takes off running down the hall towards the roof
He sits there for a minute not wanting to get up and go after her but the farther she got the harder it would be to get her back
He sighs and runs after her "Persephone! You have to listen me!" He yells as he runs after her
She gasps by how close he got in such little time. She dashes up a set of stairs then another
She can hear his footsteps right behind her as she pushes open a door
She runs in and finds herself out on the roof
To keep her distance from him she runs to the far end of the roof and looks at him
He stares at her sadly "If I could change the way things are, I would. Trust me, Persephone" he slowly walks towards her
She shakes her head "I don't want to go back there. Everything is boring and nothing is new" she takes a step back to avoid him getting closer
But her foot slips from the edge of the roof and she starts falling. She screams and barely manages to grab the edge of the roof
Footsteps are heard before Hades appears at the edge. He bends down and reaches for her but shes just out of reach "Come on, little one. Grab my hand" he sounds worried and frantic
She reaches up her other hand but her hand starts to slip. She screams again and begins to cry
Being a immortal goddess doesn't mean she would hurt herself falling from so high. That's what was terrifying her
Her palms began to sweat with nervousness and fear "Hades..." She says worried as she looks up at him
He's still trying to reach out for her in any way possible "Persephone just hold on! I'll get you. I promise" he says but she can hear how worried he is
"I... I can't hold on any more. I'm slipping" she says as more tears fall and her fingers start to slip
"No! Just hold on!" He says as he leans over the edge of the roof and reaches out for her
She looks at him worried before her fingers finally give out and she falls
She screams in fear but above her scream she can hear Hades "Persephone!!" He yells
Still crying she closes her eyes and braces herself for a painful fall
But instead she lands with a less painful thud in a pair of arms. It takes a minute for her to calm down but when she does she smiles and opens her eyes eager to see Hades
She gasps in surprise as she sees her father's face. The God of God's and Lord of thunder is frowning right at her. She swallows hard and nervously looks at him
He looks beyond furious. He moves his angry glare up to the edge of Hades' castle where Hades is still standing looking at her with a small hint of relief before looking at Zeus. He tries to cover is worry with his usual cold glare
Zeus sets her gently on the ground even though he was furious with her he still loved her
"Hades!" Zeus's voice makes the earth rumble a little
She looked at Zeus worried. She knew he was going to do something horrible to Hades for not forcing her to go back to Olympus
"Dad no!" She says as she quickly grabs his bicep. He glares at her "And why should I? He tried to hurt you" he growls
She smiles and scoffs "Hades? Hurt me? Dad that's ridiculous. He's been so nice to me. It's all my fault. I came down here. I stayed down here. It was my choice. No one else's. Don't be mad at him or punish him. He didn't do anything wrong. He actually tried to get me to go back. But I ran and it wad my fault i fell off the castle"
He stares at her a minute "Fine. But you will never leave Olympus again. And I'll make sure of it" he says "Now let's go. This place smells and all kinds of other unpleasant things happen here" he adds before walking towards the boat
She sighs and looks up at Hades
He looks down at her sadly and gives a small wave
She attempts a smile but a few tears fall instead. She waves back and in her head she thinks "Don't forget about me Hades, my love. I'll be back. I'll find away"
She stared at him taking in every detail so she could remember it exactly. Then she squeezes her eyes shut to try and prevent anymore tears from falling
She looks up for him once more but he's gone. She sighs and walks to the boat where her dad is waiting
He makes some kind of small talk but she isn't listening to say the least
As the boat floats past the darling little puppy she gives a weak smile
The puppy whines and whimpers to see her go before growling lowly at her dad. This brings her comfort, and another reason why she loved the underworld
"Shhhhh" she whispers softly to the puppy before blowing three kisses, one for each cute little puppy face. The puppies seem pleased with this
She sighs and looks forward. Those two wonderful days were worth the trouble she would get in, at least she hopes
