"Lizzy, I was worried." The man said sighing.
Elizabeth looked at the man and back at Lady Anastasia.
"I'm sorry. I just wished to have some fresh air." Elizabeth said blushing lightly. "Lady Anastasia kept me company."
"Thank you for accompanying my wife, Lady Anastasia." The man bowed.
Anastasia only smiled and stood up. "It was no trouble. My husband is probably getting restless. Excuse me." She walked away leaving the couple to themselves.
"Is she still upset?" Ciel asked by the entrance. He was casually leaning on the wall.
"No. I believe she's accepted the circumstances now." Anastasia replied with a small smile.
"My aunt was mad that I left, but she was happy that I am well." Ciel told Anastasia who smiled.
"At least your aunt will be a happy grandmother soon." Anastasia said with a small smirk making Ciel raise his brow at her.
"What did you do?" He asked genuinely curious.
"I just gave them a little push. They'll be hurrying home in a few minutes." She said with her trademark smile making Ciel smirk.
"You really are unpredictable." Ciel commented pulling her into his arms.
"Well, better that than boring." She purred wrapping her arms around him. "I can't wait for this party to be over."
"And why is that, dear?" Ciel asked huskily.
"I wanted to show you a new purchase I made in London." She whispered seductively.
"Perhaps you can show me now." He replied placing a kiss on her neck.
"Impatient as ever, Ciel." Anastasia purred as he chuckled lowly before he pulled her towards their room.
The next morning, Anastasia sat in the manor's music room while Ciel was in his study. Memories of her exile replaying in her mind.
"I love you" A mortal man told the naïve and innocent angel. The angel's eyes widened at his declaration. Her brother along with her father were exiled to roam the mortal realm for giving into their selfish desires. She had decided to follow them, but her selflessness made it possible for her to keep her holiness. She saw how her family became corrupted with sin, and how they became unholy beings.
"I-I can't..." The angel whispered as her heart broke. She returned his feelings, but she was afraid of the darkness that would consume her is she acted on her emotions.
"I know you feel the same... Please..." The man whispered desperately. The angel's eyes flowed with tears. Would she really be willing to give up everything for her own selfish desires? Just like her brother had done. The angel didn't protest as the man pulled her into him. She didn't fight him as he held her tightly.
The foolish angel followed her selfish desires to be with a mortal man. Her feathers turned black, stained with sin and darkness.
She lived with the mortal man. Life was perfect for the angel, or so it seemed. After a year of living with the man, she found him with another female. It was at that moment, she embraced that she was no longer an angel. She was a creature of sin and darkness. She killed the man who she had given up her white wings for, along with the woman he bedded. She cried out at how cruel her former God was. Her hatred turning her into a full-bred demoness, reuniting her with her brother and father. She vowed that she would never care for a man again.
And yet, she felt loneliness consume her every time she saw happy couples of demons or humans.
She couldn't help but feel the irony of her situation. Anastasia was enamored with a fledgling, a human turned into a demon. She was starting to feel the hopeless tug in her dead heart.
