"You want weapons? We're in a library! Books! The best weapon in the world!" -Doctor Who

-

Wow. He jerked his head up, startling me.

"That's amazing! I just realized that!" He explained.

Spencer smiled, and began to speak with fast gestured hand movements. He eyes glazed over when he read as if he was being transported into a magical utopia. I loved the way he lost himself in a book. I scoot my chair a little closer to get a peek at what he was looking at. It was a biology book, and there was a diagram of the human body blown up multiple times.

"Did you know your body produces enough heat in a half hour to boil a half gallon of water?"

"Yeah, actually. Well did you know that for every pound you gain you gain 7 mi-"

"Miles of blood vessels!" Spencer finished. Then he started skimming through the rest of the book.

"If you were so fascinated... Why'd you skim?"

"Me? Oh no. I can read 20,000 words a minute." He said quickly. My jaw dropped. But it did explain the table filled with books just ahead of us. air pulled out a mythology book. And he began spouting off facts, when a weird look came across his face...

What is it?" I asked.

"It's just, everyone else I know would say 'Reid, not now.' or 'Spencer, I don't care'. And I'm trying to figure you out. And I just can't seem to get a read."

I tucked a piece of hair behind my ear, and laughed awkwardly.

"I- I love the way you laugh."

I looked away. I hated my laugh.

"Wait, please don't look away. I can tell by the way you do that and your nervous energy you're self concious." And so I did. I stated straight into those brown eyes. He sighed.

"I just don't get you."

And we spent the rest of the night laughing and reading, sharing bizzare facts with one another late into the night.
