"Love doesn't die, it only grows with time."

For the past few months nothing happened. We lowered our guard, and began to feel safe. We were still slightly on edge, but things returned to normal. And Spencer? My god I love that boy. My love for him only grew stronger with everything he did. I love the way he smiles, and the way his hair falls into his eyes when he's thinking. I love the way he looses himself in a book. I loved the way he laughed at himself. I love the way he loves others. I admire his courage and his devotion. I love everything about him. His words came flooding back to me.

"I love you Carter. I love everything about you. I love the way you love life. I love the way you understand people. I love how you're fearless and you don't care about what others think. I love the way you laugh, and how the snow sticks to your eyelashes and hair. You're so beautiful. I have never met a girl like you. And I love it. You are just one roller coaster of surprises."

I smiled. A light snow was falling, and when I exhaled, my breath puffed up in little clouds of moisture. Once again walking home, humming to myself. I checked my phone.

*One new messages *
Spencer: On my way home. Is everything okay? I'll stop my tonight, I missed you a lot.

I was so excited I nearly dropped my phone.
You are typing...
You: Great! You were gone for 4 days.
Spencer is typing...
Spencer: I know, I'm sorry.
You: Just, call me when you get back, okay? And get some sleep.
Spencer: I will. I promise.

I stepped inside the warm cafè, the brisk air following me. I order a coffee with a stupid name and sat down in a booth and pulled out my laptop. I was editing a collage of pictures for my last customer, photography was my side business. I did edited multiple collages. Time flew, soon it had been 2.8 hours. My cell buzzed.
Spencer

"Hey!" I chirped.

"Well someone's in a good mood."

"How could I not be? You are home."

"Well thanks. Do you want to meet up somewhere?"

"Right now, I just want to watch a movie on my couch."

"Alright, so at your house?"

"Preferably."

"I'll be a few minutes, I need to run to my apartment."

"Bye."

"Bye."
