Chapter Three- Carter:

I was walking home one day, shuffling my feet through the colored leaves, and enjoying the brisk chill that wrapped itself around my legs, when my phone buzzed. SPENCER REID. I smiled.

"Hi Spencer."

"Carter, hi."

"What is it?"

"I've been thinking about you a lot lately."

"Oh." I said trying to hide the excitement in my voice.

"And, I was wondering if you wanted to um, join me for dinner?"

"I'd love to."

When I got home, I watched reruns of Sherlock, while texting Spencer. We had a very serious argument about pretenses and past tenses and whether or not that affected people's perception of the belief of an alternate dimension. I wondered where he found the time. Then I began getting ready. I settled for a denim button up and a knee legnth skirt. I slipped on some flats and was about to sit down and read, when there was a small knock on the door. It was him.

"Hello, Doctor Reid."

He was wearing a red shirt he rolled up to his forearm, with a black tie and a cream sweater vest, with dark slacks.

"I hope you like Italian, Carter." He smiled.
