"Even if you're not doing anything wrong... You're being watched and recorded." -Edward Snowden

I woke up warm, which was a surprise. I had fallen asleep last night. I was sad to see that Spencer wasn't there. The couch creaking caught my attention. It was Spencer and he was clutching something. In one hand a note, and his gun tightly in the other.

"Spencer." I said gently shaking him.

"Ahhhhh!" He screamed waving his gun.

"Spencer, calm down, it's just me, Carter."

Before I could say anything, he wrapped me in a warm embrace.

"Oh my god you're okay."

"Yeah. Why? Is there a reason why I wouldn't? Because if-"

And he kissed me. A sweet, gentle one, shutting me up. I could feel the back of my neck burning.

"Okayyyyyyy. This keeps getting weirder. Not that I mind. So, am I okay?"

He sighed and rubbed his temples.

"I don't know."

"I'm going to go make us some hot chocolate." I got up, and headed to the kitchen, where I started making the hot chocolate. It wasn't a very big kitchen, but it was decent. There was a white marble peninsula, and a nice oven with a stainless steel fridge. Finally, it was ready when I added coffee creamer and whip cream, not to mention a few marshmallows. I was about to head to the living room, when a small red envelope caught my eye. I sat the chocolate down, and opened it. In messy handwriting it wrote To my dearest, Carter. This didn't seem like something Spencer would do, but I opened it anyway. I first pulled out the letter.

Dear Carter, for the past few days I've been watching you. I would watch my back if I was you. Just wanted to show you how angelic you look when you sleep. Sweet dreams babe. Until then, Carter.

My hands were sweaty and trembling, as I began to take out picture after picture of me last night sleeping on the couch, all taken from different angles and locations and zooms. Spencer was even in a few. My teeth clattering and tears clinging to my cheeks I grabbed the envelope, and walked toward Spencer.

"You need to tell me what's going on. Now."
