Love Is Not Enough [Complete]

Chapter Thirteen

I woke up the next morning with a smile. I felt so happy, I wanted to scream, jump up, out of joy.
I wanted to celebrate and cry happy tears.
But then I can't, whatever's happening between Bruno and I should be a secret, my brother can't find out.
As I stretched my body my phone ringed.

"Hello Mother", I answered in a pitched voice.

"Oh okay, I guess you having so much fun you even forgot you have a mother", she said trying to kill my joy. Unfortunately this joy can't be killed.

"I have a mother here so yeah maybe I forgot about you since you threw me out of your life", I murdered her attempts of trying to ruin my joy.

"I'm sorry babe, how are you?", she asked sounding a bit worried.

"I'm okay mum, and you?", I replied still smiling.

"What happened that made you so happy?", she asked ignoring my question.
I can't tell my mum I kissed my brother's best friend so, I'd better change the topic real quick.

"Nothing special, just that I don't do much chores here so I feel like a princess", I answered. It was half the truth, I did feel like a princess since Kate does almost everything in this house.

"Okay. I was just checking up on you baby, I'll call once in a while", she said before hanging up.
Great, I wonder what happened to "I'll call everyday".

I got out of bed and went for a bath. After my bath I got dressed in blue summer short pants and a white tank top. I fixed my bed then went downstairs for breakfast.

"Morning", I said as I walked in the kitchen.

"Morning", Kate answered while placing 4 dishes on the counter.

"Could you make some space on the dinning room table so we'll have breakfast", she said smiling.

"Sure thing", I replied.
I then started taking the dishes to the dinning table after I've fixed it and created space. Kate followed carry the food.
JR and Dad came down from upstairs for breakfast.
A few minutes later we were all seated eating fried eggs, sausages, fried skinny chips, diced tomatoes salad and bread.
Kiddo was in his room with his nanny. I didn't even know he's got a nanny, just found out since Kate says she comes in Monday to Thursday every week.

"How's your stay so far?", Dad asked. He was seated next to me.

"It's alright Dad, can't really complain", I answered.
Kate hasn't given me any problems so I guess it's okay.

"Good", he nodded then took out a wallet from his back pocket.

"Here", he said handing me a credit card.

"What's it for?", I asked sounding confused.

"That's for your endless shopping Princess", JR blurted out.

"It's for whatever you'll need", Dad said getting up, he walked around the table to where Kate was seated, he placed a light kiss on her forehead.

"I'm leaving", he took his bag and car keys.

"I'll be home later", he said then walked out. Guess he's going to work.

After eating I helped Kate with cleaning up. After that I went outside.
Just when I closed the door behind me JR walked out too.

"What are you doing outside?", he asked and I rolled my eyes at him.
Does he think I have to report my every move to him? He is my brother but now he's just being too much and annoying.
