Dear Readers

I'm not quite sure how to start this. First of all: I'm incredibly thankful for every single one of your reads, votes and comments on this story. Never in my life did I expect getting 10k (now that I'm editing this, it's already 40k) reads on a story, let alone the positive feedback.

Writing this story provides me with such a huge amount of energy and joy, however, at times, it can be quite tiring. If you, yourself, have written stories before, you might guess what I'm talking about. Every story is a personal journey. When I first wrote this author's note, I was 19 years old, when I first started writing this book, I was just a 15 year old teenage girl and even though I felt quite mature at each of these points in my life, looking back now, I can see, how much developing I still had to go through. Don't get me wrong, I'm not half the way done yet, which is wonderful, because learning, growing and maturing are some of the most gifting and some of the most wrenching things we've got to go through in our lives. Where am I going with this? To be honest, I'm actually losing my train of thought here, so, let's get to my point: This story accompanied me through a large part of my live (which is why my writing changed so much throughout the chapters, sorry about that btw) and when I first wrote this author's note, exactly one year apart from now, I was at a pretty bad place. I'm still struggling, which is okay, because struggling also means that I'm fighting and struggling means, that, whichever direction that may be, we're going somewhere. I've suffered a lot of setbacks last year, yet I'm still here, continuing to take steps forward, even though I might have walked this exact distance a hundred times before. So, a piece of advice: As stupid as it may sound, don't give up.

Once again, thank you so much for the ongoing support.

Lots of love, your author
