The next days went by in a haze.

Ashers confession left unspoken of.

Perhaps i was afraid, afraid that in the end he'd just leave me like they all do

I walked up the path a bag in hand and my phone pressed to my ear,

"i don't know Lilia thats alot of people to perform in front.....what if i freak out and freeze?"

Lilia was a acquaintance from school, she was a very talented pianist- the best at our school in fact.

"cmon annie this is a huge deal, you're the most talented person i know you can't pass this up" she encouraged as i entered the house spotting asher busy at work.

I gave him a small smile placing the bag down 

"i'll think about it okay? i'll talk to you later lilia i have to go" i replied, she sighed before telling me the deadline and happily saying bye.

Once i hung up i flopped onto the couch groaning,

"who was that?" asher asked stopping what he was doing and taking a seat besides me

"lilia some girl in my music class from school...she wants me to perform in some big show at the end of the month" i explained

Asher shifted in his seat sitting up straighter 

"you have to do it shortcake!"

I lifted my head looking at him questionably 

"you're the most talented person i've ever met and everyone else needs to see that, you can do this i know you can it may seem scary, the thought of it but when your up there in front of all those people you won't be afraid anymore it'll be as if its just you and the music will take over and i'll be there front row cheering you on because i'll always be there for you"

he took my hands into his 

"because i love you annie" he said in a whisper "not falling, not thinking, i know im in love with you"

I sat up straighter this time looking at him and staying silent

"say something" he mumbled lifting his head up and looking at me "please"

"how do i know you won't leave?.... they all leave" my voice came out quiet and cracked 

"in all honesty you won't know....you'll just have to trust me and trust that i won't hurt you like everyone else has...that i won't leave you" 

I leaned in and met my lips with his kissing him intensely

" okay" i mumbled once we pulled away "i trust you, i believe you"

"you do?"  he asked 

"i do" i replied before he kissed me again with so much love...

 but yet i still felt something in my chest, it was a faint feeling but it was there the feeling that i didn't trust him and that i never could...

{some of you guys might hate me for not making annie trust him or admit her feelings but it would be far to easy if she did }
