I waved johnny off before turning to asher who looked lost in thought staring off into the distance

"whats on your mind?" i asked and he mumbled huh before pulling his attention to me

"oh um nothing absolutely nothing" he smiled down at me taking my hand "c'mon lets get inside its getting cold" he nodded his head in the direction of the door

I nodded in agreement heading inside the house which was slowly coming to actually look liveable but things that had been said today or actions that had been done left me feeling uneasy

Then something popped in my head; multiple somethings

"your team" i said outloud and asher turned to me from where he was , rolling his lips into his mouth and raising an eyebrow

"i mean i haven't seen you with them ever and i haven't met anyone besides johnny whats with that?" i asked and asher frowned

"nothings with that the boys and i just haven't hung out in a while its no big deal" he shrugged before turning back to what he was doing

I flopped onto the sofa

"i know its not a big deal i was just wondering because i always see them together at school and you're with me and not them i just figured its like a sacred rule to sit with your team in the cafeteria" i realised how stupid that sounded and scoffed at myself "that sounded stupid i mean like are you guys close or?"

"what are you getting at annie?" he said his tone sharp taking me by surprise "do you think im ashamed of you? that im not opening up enough? because i've told you a shit tonne of things i haven't told anyone and yet you ask me things like this how about i ask you some rapid fire questions"

My mouth was agape shocked by his sudden outburst I stood up to be level with him

"thats not what im doing" i defended because it truly wasn't what i was doing i was asking some simple questions i had been wondering the answers too

"then what are you doing because it sure seems like your interrogating me right now" he looked....angry and that scared me a little

"you're reading way too much into something that was nothing besides a few simple questions" i exclaimed and he flared his nostrils

"me? reading into things you're the one asking stupid questions!" he raised his voice and i laughed

"look asher you can have bad days i get that, it happens, life happens But if i want to ask some simple questions which may have sounded stupid i can but i am not going to allow you to shout at me and you clearly need some time alone so im going to give you that" i said sternly putting my jacket -which i had taken off- on "i'll see you at school asher" i smiled softly walking towards the door and i know how stupid it sounds but i hoped he would stop me from walking out but he didn't..

I closed the door and turned around standing there for a moment long enough to hear asher shout out in rage worrying me and scaring me but he needed to be alone right now so i walked down the path and headed to the place i hadn't been in a while and didn't want to be,

home.
