Poland's POV
"We have some news." The doctor said. Everyone seemed to hold their breath, waiting for the doctors report.
'Please let her be ok.' I begged, feeling my palms get clammy in anticipation. I look over at Soviet who was staring at the doctor, from the ground, with hope gleaming in his eyes.
"She lived through the surgery." He announced with a small sad smile. I could hear some people let out a sigh in relief. But... I couldn't let myself relax just yet, something was up.
"However... she is very weak and." The doctor hesitated. "The bullet nicked one of her intestines as well as put her body into shock. She may not survive the night and if she does-"
"She will be in immense pain and will be able to hardly walk for a couple of weeks." Grey interrupted him, crossing his arms.
"Can we see her?" I asked, taking a step towards them.
Grey and the doctor looked at each other before back over to me. "Of course, but you can't be in the room till she wakes up." Grey said, his monotone slowly coming back.
They then both led us past the double doors they entered from. Walking through the halls, passing many patients doors, some were either awake watching TV or talking with a family member.
They brought us to a room with a large window beside it. My eyes gazed into the room through the large window, seeing a girl with (h/c) hair which had a hint of red in it, (s/c) skin which has dried up blood splotches scattered along her arms and neck.
"(Y/N)." I whispered out, placing my hand on the glass, my eyes widening by the sight of her.
She was intubated, fluids going through one of her arms, a breathing mask over her mouth and nose, her chest rising and falling in a soothing rhythm.
She looks... almost peaceful... almost asleep. Forgetting that she was on a fine line between life and death for a moment.
North's POV
I stood next to South as my gaze landed on (Y/N), she looked peaceful... but a deadly sort of peaceful. I pushed back the tears and hatred threatening to come out like a hungry tiger in a cage.
"When will she wake up?" I took the courage to ask.
"Earliest is tonight, latest is a couple of days. Her body is exhausted." Grey answered, placing his hands behind his back.
"If she doesn't?" I heard her mom ask.
It took all of my energy not to turn around and snap at her on how she could even ask that question.
"Then we take her off of the machine and see what happens." Grey answered in a cold tone. "We need your permission when the time comes of course." The doctor added with a smile.
She began to sob quietly, "My poor baby." I watched as her hand covered, tears streaming down her cheeks. The doctor moved forward, taking her by the shoulders. "It's ok ma'am come on. You can see her tomorrow." He said, guiding her away.
Once he was gone, I heard Benjamin say, "You told him to do that didn't you?"
"I doubt the first thing (Y/N) wants to see is her. No doubt she will give her own daughter a lecture about the events that happened today." Grey said. "I'll get you guys some chairs and blankets." He walked away going down the hall.
I could hear silent sobs coming from next to me. I look over seeing South with his head down, tears dripping from his cheeks.
I let out a small sigh, "She'll me fine. She's stronger than she looks." South looked up at me, before lunging at me. He wrapped his arms around me, his body slamming into mine almost full force, making me stumble back a little.
I hesitantly wrapped my arms around my brother, allowing him to sob into my shoulder. "I-I'm scared." He mumbled through tears.
I let out a shaky sigh, tears begin to form in my eyes. "I am to." I told him, squeezing him a little tighter. I don't know what I'll do if she just... left. I let a few tears slip down my cheeks, allowing them to fall onto my brothers jacket.
Philippines POV
"I gotta go to the bathroom." I said from next to America. I walk away, wiping tears that fell from my eyes. I was angry. At myself and Ryder.
I walk into the bathroom, closing and locking the door behind me. I stared into the mirror, anger shining in my eyes.
I clenched my fist, then punched the mirror crying out, "D@mn it!" The mirror nearly shattered at impact.
I should've been there to stop Ryder, not just sitting inside the house watching the fight between Russia and Soviet. Afraid one would attack the other, mostly Russia.
I glared into my reflection, before my eyes softened and tears spilled down my cheeks. I slumped to the ground, sobbing.
I heard a knock at the door. "Phil, it's me. Can you let me in?" I heard America spoke from the other side of the door.
I sniffled, ignoring him. Hoping he would just go away. "Please Phil... I need to wash my hands." America said.
I sighed, wiping my tear, standing up I unlocked the door, opening it slightly so he can walk in.
America merely nodded in thanks, not even a smile was present on his face. He walked over towards the sink, turning on the faucet, and began to scrub his hands.
"What happened to the mirror?" I heard America ask coolly, not looking up from his hands.
"It was like that before I got here." I lied, crossing my arms and scooting back a little, leaning up against the wall.
I heard him sigh, "You're a terrible liar." I opened my mouth to retort but he interrupted saying, "Your knuckles are bruised."
I look down at my hands, seeing he was right. They were beginning to turn purple, swelling up a bit.
"You should have Grey look at it. Make sure it isn't broken." America suggested, turning off the faucet and grabbing a few paper towels.
"Grey shouldn't waist his time on me, there are other people that are in need of his services." I said, rubbing my knuckles gently, thinking about (Y/N)'s physical state.
"I think your hanging out with Britain too much, using those fancy words." America said, with a light chuckle. But his chuckle seem empty, no happiness or joy in it. His smile was strained.
"You don't have to fake around me America. I feel the same way." I said, looking down at my knuckles.
"She'll be fine. Tomorrow (Y/N) will wake up and everything will go back to normal." America said with a sad smile.
I didn't want to ask but... I have to, I have to prepare for the outcome, "And... if she doesn't."
The smile on America's face faded to a frown, his eyes into a glare, despite his sunglasses covering them. "Then we find Ryder and destroy him." He growled, his hand clenching into a fist.
France's POV
Some nurses brought a few chairs for us to sit. I sat down right across from the window, Britain sitting next to me.
I look over, seeing him hunched, his hands together by his mouth, his eyes shadowed.
"Did you tell them everything?" I asked, fiddling with my fingers.
"The police? Yeah I told them all that I saw and Ryder's connection with (Y/N)." Britain answered, looking over at me for a few seconds.
Silence stretched between us, I glanced back up at the window. To hope to see her awake and looking around. But she was still laying unconscious.
"We should've done something." I mumbled, looking down at my hands.
"What could we have done?" Britain questioned, glancing over at me a few times.
"We could've stop Soviet's onslaught of words." I grumbled out, clenching and unclenching my hand.
"You may be right." Britain sat up straight, leaning back in the chair. "But what's happened has happened. We can't do anything about it now. All we have to do is hope for the best." Britain let out a sigh.
I nodded slowly in agreement. I then hear footsteps coming our way, I look up seeing America and Phil coming back.
      "Anything come up?" America asked.
      "No, she's stable." Britain answered.
"Do you would like anything to eat and drink?" I woman asked. We all look over.
"Some water would be nice please." America said.
She nodded, walking away quickly. Benjamin approaches us, "I take it you guys will keep an eye on her?"
"Yeah, you're leaving already?" I asked, giving him a confused look.
"I don't have much of a choice, someone needs to take care of things at the business. Who knows what the board would do when no one is there to keep a leash on them." Benjamin answered, rolling his eyes.
"Don't worry. You deal with the board members and we will hold down the fort here." America said with a small shrug.
Benjamin nodded, before leaving, going down the hallway we came from.
Benjamin's POV
I got into the car, dialing a number. The phone ringed for a few minutes before someone picked up on the other end.
"Hello?" A male said on the other end.
"Hey, did you find anything?" I asked, backing out of the parking place.
"Yeah, I looked into the files and found... that your suspicions were right." He said on the other line.
My hand tightened around the wheel, I grinned my teeth. "Are you sure?" I asked.
"Yeah... her name is printed on there." The man said.
"Did anyone hear her reason why she set him free?" I asked, glaring at the road ahead.
"They say Eliza said something along the lines of intimidation or something along those lines. Has she said anything similar before?" He asked.
I let out a frustrated sigh, "Oh yea, she has. To the first CEO of (L/N) Corp."

Hello readers! I just want to quickly apologize for the chapter being shorter than usual. Don't worry I'll try and make it up to you! The next update will be sometime next weekend or really this coming up weekend. Thank you all for reading and have a wonderful night or day.
Teaser:
Everything was dark... not light, nothing. Just an empty, black, dark, room. All of a sudden a bright flash appearing before my eyes... a younger version of myself appearing before me.
She cocked her head to the side, "Why are you here?" Her voice echoed in the blackness, young and high pitched.
"I... don't know what you mean?" I questioned, cocking my own head to the side slightly.
"Hmm... you're lost." She said, as she began to walk away.
I hesitated, not knowing if I should follow her or not. "Come along. You can't be here for very long. They need you." She said, gesturing for her to follow me, before continuing to walk onwards.
I took a deep breath and ran after her... I can trust myself. Right?
