fancy words, ridiculous lies and worried fathers

She hesitated to knock on the door, unsure if the inhabitant of the building would welcome her into his home. After all, Skyler was looking for shelter from a dangerous, intergalactic criminal.
Besides, she could only hope that Doctor Stephen Strange would shelter her in secret... if he were to warn her family and the Avengers, Urikson would soon find her. Skyler neededStrange's protection, since he was the only sorcerer on Earth powerful enough to keep invaders out; and Skyler was barely able to leave Earth without Urikson's knowing.
With newly found confidence, the young Princess knocked on the door softly, the sound echoing through the wood and into the peculiar house in front of her.
The door opened with a squeaking sound, and Skyler arched a brow when no one was actually opening the door. Although, what was she expecting? This was, after all, the house of a Sorcerer Supreme. Doctor Stephen Strange would be perfectly capable of protecting her against greater powers, if Skyler was to believe every act of heroism, he'd told her of.
Skyler had met with the sorcerer briefly after their first meeting, in which she asked him to help her and her friends at the Ministry, back in her fifth year.
"Skyler of Asgard," said a deep voice on her left, the doctor stepping from the shadows. All of his appearance oozed power and pride, and Skyler was quickly reminded why he and Tony Stark did not get along very well.
"Doctor," Skyler bowed her head in a form of greeting. "It is good to see that you have been faring well since we last met. I am, of course, hoping that you were not disturbed by the fact that I did not have the ability to visit you after the... incidentsat the Ministry of Magic." When the words had left her mouth, Skyler wanted to slit her own throat. Great way to greet someone and try to make them like you, Sky.
"A true Silver Tongue, princess," the Doctor chuckled. "But the words sound like a princess' instead of those from a friend. I cannot recall making an error to hostile myself from Asgard or it's people?" She had acted stiff; hence the Doctor would act stiff too. By now, the middle-aged man had completely wandered away from the safety of the dark shadows and now stood in front of her with a somewhat amused look that shimmered on his face.
"They are the words of a princess seeking shelter, but I would prefer a friendly talk rather than exhaust myself with polite ways. 'Cause, believe me when I tell you that they areexhausting."
The Doctor chuckled lowly at that, before extending a hand toward Skyler. The Princess of Asgard shook the hand this time, cursing herself for not offering him a more peaceful greeting than a firm nod.
"I'm glad to see that you made it out of Urikson's personal hell alive. I assume you are seeking shelter because of him?"
"Indeed I am. He'll know it within the shortest amount of time, when I'm hiding at a friend's place or on Asgard. Going rogue and doing unexpected things will at least grant me time," Skyler said, a smirk tugging at her lips. The Doctor, on the other hand, seemed less convinced.
