a life for a life
~
As the stranger led Skyler into the golden halls, she saw a row of people in front of her... all of them seemed to be waiting. Her heart stopped beating when she saw the familiar locks of platinum blond hair right in front of her.
Ignoring anything the female next to her might be saying, Skyler ran toward him, to Draco. How could he be here? If he was here, that would mean he was –
"No!" she cried out, "No, you can't be here..."
Once she reached him, she turned him around. Stormy grey eyes looked at her in confusion. It wasn't Draco. This man – this boy was perhaps fifteen years old, but still, an exact copy of the man Skyler loved.
"Who – who are you?" She began to look at him entirely, recognizing more and more of Draco in him. Until she came to the slight freckles on his cheeks, and his height... he was shorter than Draco, and a bit more filled in the shoulders.
The boy looked at her. "I don't know. I've never been named."
Skyler cocked an eyebrow. "Never been – what does that mean?"
"It means that he's never been born at all. He died with his mother," the female that led Skyler here spoke up. Again, Skyler looked at the boy.
She fell to her knees when it hit her. She had been – why were the Norns so cruel? To let Urikson take not only her life, but the life of her unborn child too. It was cruelty of the highest rank.
"Are you alright?" The boy helped her up. She hugged him. She hugged her son as she broke out in tears again.
"You look so much like your father, Scorpius. And I'm so sorry," she sobbed again, flashbacks hitting her, taking her back to the Room of Requirement. Norns, it seemed so long ago.

Skyler lay on his chest as Draco drew patterns on her back lazily. It was pure bliss, the silence that hung around them; the worries that had left their minds. Skyler was happy, and from the content look on his face, she knew Draco was as well.
"Have you ever thought of your life after Hogwarts?" Skyler then asked, exhaling the words without really thinking of them.
Draco looked conflicted. "I have. But it highly depends on how the upcoming war will end, but believe me, if it was up to me only, I would have the Dark Lord dead by midnight." She looked up at him, her long hair framing her face.
"Well?" she asked. "What would you do if Voldemort was not there tomorrow?" A sigh left him as a half-smile crept up his face.
"I've always wanted to marry the woman I love. To live somewhere on the countryside, with enough grounds to ride over with horses... I'd have two children, both girl and boy. I'd name the girl Evelyn and the boy Scorpius, and I'd have a dog or two, so that every morning and afternoon, my wife and I will have an excuse to be alone and out of the house..."
