"you're in my seat"

It felt good; the sword on her hips; the shield strapped over the quiver filled with arrows; the wind through her hair. Norns, it had been a while. The mare, called Lilly, was indeed fast – faster than any horse she'd rode on before.

In her head, she repeated her plan, quite simple inside her mind, but she doubted it would be that simple once she had to perform it. Taking out Einherjar who had broken their oath would still be the same as taking out an Einherjar who hadn't. They were Asgard's elite force. And she had not trained in weeks – the last fight she'd fought, she lost. The only motivation for her right now was revenge. For her mother, her friends, her grandfather – her son. Anyone who got in her way would regret it.

"Returning to a new form of glory will occur when you touch your solid binding to the World of The Living. You can save your father from the prison in his mind by destroying his."

The sentence seemed to be recalled from a memory she'd actually already deemed unnecessary. 'Solid Binding to the World of The Living', what was that supposed to mean?

The golden palace looked more ominous than ever before. He didn't want to go in there. Actually, Raymond just wished to return to Wolveshire Fort and pretend to be engaged to Joanna.

In front of him, Nathan smirked slyly. "Captain Dorianson, are you coming? Your King is waiting." Raymond balled his hands into fists, squeezing until his knuckles were white. With a reluctant pace, he walked up the steps of the palace.

"Ray," Silas spoke up behind him. Raymond slowed down to let his brother catch up with him. Once he stood next to his brother, he put a hand on his shoulder.

"Keep your eyes open, Silas," Raymond said. "Courtesans look for anything to use against you." His brother released a snort.

"I was about to say the same to you – the King doesn't show mercy, not to the children of a traitor. He gives you this position, because he wants you dead," Silas whispered. Raymond nodded at him. "Now," Silas spoke, "let's look this Coward King in the eyes and show him we won't kneel as easy as he thinks." At that comment, corners of Raymond's mouth tucked up some.
