Venus was anxious to hear how Luna's day went, John Weston Public School was the only non-private school in Sweetnum Valley but she knew to send her back there was like throwing her to the wolves. As they ate dinner Venus asked her sister about the day's events and Luna replied "There were some tough moments but having been bullied last year for just being weird the experience of being the town villain wasn't too different. It's just hard when I see people I truly caused pain to, I can take some popular girl thinking witches are bad but looking into the eyes of someone who lost someone important to them on prom night... It's-it's-- too-- too--much..". Luna began to cry while Venus reassured her and said, "It wasn't you, that spell...that damned spell was a mess! Your mind was taken over by something else!". The two of them hugged away their pain then watched their favourite show, Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

The events of prom night had also affected the Grbac's relationship with fellow witches. Violet, the head of the WSA (Witch's Society of America), demanded to keep an eye on Luna as she practised the spells in the Protector of the Covenant. Luna was upset that on top of redoing having to redo the spells she also had to be watched like a hawk and decided to make it her goal to be on the final challenge by the end of the year. She wanted her witch hat and certificate just like her sisters.

That weekend Luna flew on her broomstick to the WSA's headquarters in San Francisco for her weekly spellcasting. The WSA used an invisibility spell so those who aren't witches can't see the building. She thought to herself on the ride over, "I thought Venus was a strict teacher but Violet is much worse! No joking around, follow every instruction, no talking back! Geez, I feel like I'm at school!". Violet saw Luna flying through her office window and came outside, she sighed "You're late! I've been waiting for half an hour." and Luna's face reddened from the embarrassment. Luna let out a nervous cough and explained: "I saw this really good sale on Hot Topic and simply had to pop in to get some stuff.". Violet rolled her eyes and the two of them walked inside.

The spellcasting room was in the basement and very dimly lit. Luna thought it was the coldest place she'd ever been in. Violet instructed: "Today we'll be learning a teleportation spell. Light those white candles and place them in a circle around you.". Luna followed her directions then Violet continued, "Now meditate for twenty minutes then say the chant written right here." and she pointed to a paragraph in the Protector of the Covenant. Luna found the meditation part quite tiresome and was relieved when it was finally over, she chanted: "Let me project easily, let this be quick as can be! Let my separations be spellbound as I lift off the ground!". She felt dizzy as her feet as she began to levitate higher and higher. Luna screamed "I can't control it! I'm trying to come back down but it doesn't work!". She feared she would crash through the glass ceiling. Violet could see this and reiterated to her a spell that would help her float downwards. Luna said ''Weightless and high, I now take a sigh. All the air within me, released upon my grasp. Give me gravity, give me safety. Floating down onto the ground, make me land without a pound.'' and landed safely.

Venus's Saturday night was spent in the company of Victoria. When Penny, Victoria's biological mom, realized her daughter had been resurrected from the dead by Nova she was ecstatic. However, their happy reunion was cut short upon her realizing Victoria had powers. She would've felt safe if Victoria could control them better but her little girl was becoming a hazard. Luckily for Alexei and Vladislav, this meant they were able to adopt Victoria once again. The Zamolodchikova's were out on a date and asked Venus to look after her. Alexei told Venus "We will back for 10. You girls have fun!." as he left the house with his husband.

Victoria much preferred Venus's other sisters, she was the boring one out of the three and she could not fathom how she would have fun with such a person. She thought: "If only my dads would've let me and my friends hang out without adults around, then I wouldn't be stuck with Venus!". Venus could sense all of this and tried desperately to improve. Venus suggested "How about we watch a movie? I'm pretty sure Shrek is on Netflix." but Victoria shook her head and whined "No, that's no fun! I want to do some telekinesis shit.". Venus was alarmed to hear such a young person swear and retorted "Hey! How did you learn that word?". Victoria replied, "I hear Luna use it through my window.". Venus felt bad for her sister's bad influence but also that she was so lame in comparison. She relented and decided to let Victoria practice her powers.

Watching Victoria use telekinesis made it clear to Venus why her mother had to give her away. Venus thought "She is extremely skilled and can do advanced moves but similarly to Luna, she overpowers everything to the point it's dangerous.". Victoria asked her "Can I practice telekinetic combat? I won't hurt you, I promise!". Venus pondered, "She could easily injure me, I might be a witch but she is strong. But, on the other hand, it's better she practices on me than someone who is completely helpless.". Venus nodded her head and Victoria began.

When Luna arrived back in Sweetnum Valley she went to the local arcade for her date with David. The two of them didn't like just sitting down at a restaurant when they hung out and preferred to do something more exciting. The arcade they were going to was one that hadn't been touched since the 1980s. In some ways that was a plus because it had all the retro games like Pac-Man and Galaga but in others not so much. The carpet was dusty and half of the pinball machines didn't work. Luna was happy to see him and said "Finally, the fun part of my day begins!" after she gave him a kiss. David replied, "I'm glad to hear I'm better than witchcraft in your eyes!". Luna explained, "I used to think spells and that kind of stuff were the coolest but now I think not." as she looked down at the ground sadly. David could tell he had brought up a sore point and changed the subject by saying "Come on! Let's play some games! I've been coming here longer than you but who knows, maybe you'll have rookie's luck!". Luna smiled and they headed towards the Street Fighter machine.

David and Luna ended up doing very well. They won most rounds of the games they played. Luna commented, "I have to say, this might be the most fun place we've gone to!.". David was pleased and said "I'm really happy to hear that! This was my stomping ground when I was little. Whenever I had a bad day and needed a pick me up my dad would take me here. Ah, we spend hours and hours!". It warmed Luna's heart to see her boyfriend get passionate about something so sweet and the couple embraced. They broke apart when Luna heard her phone chime, David asked: "Who is it?". Luna replied "It's Venus! She says she's in trouble!".
