"Who are you?" I asked.
"I'm one of Shawn's friend, Connor. What are you doing here? Your family is looking for you."
"Not your bussiness." I rolled my eyes and went out the cafeteria.
I didn't wanted to sounds rude but if I wanted to come back home, I would just do it. I just wanted to stay outside for a bit.
"Wait!" I heard his voice but I didn't turn around. He ended up next to me. "Your bottle of water." He said.
"I don't have money on me so I didn't buy it. So it isn't mine." I said.
"Oh my god, just keep it. I'm giving it to you." I looked at him.
"Thanks." I grabbed the bottle of water.
"Can you come back home? Everyone is worry about you."
"I mean I kinda would like to but.. um.. I don't really know where I am."
"Don't worry, I'll take you home. My car is right there." He pointed his car.
"Why would I believe you? Maybe you are a kidnapper?"
"Seriously?" He laughed. "Do I look like one?"
I looked at him. Brown-blond hair. Green eyes. Normal lips. Look like an innocent face.
But I suddenly remembered a quote I saw today on Instagram.. ugh Instagram..
Lose some weight.
You look like shit.
Wash your teet-
I shook my head.
What I was saying is that I remembered a quote that I saw on Instagram.
"Never judge a book by it's cover."
Of course the guy in front of me can seems innocent but.. we never know.
"Can I have your phone?" I asked.
"Sure." He gave it to me.
"Where is Shawn's number?"
I would have normally called my mom but.. I don't remember her number.
"Here." He showed me.
"Thanks." I clicked on his name.
"Connor? What happened?" I heard a guy's voice. Probably Shawn's.
"Um.. Shawn?"
"Who is- MADDIE!? IS THAT YOU!? ARE YOU OK!??" I pulled the phone away from my ear.
I put it back next to my ear.
"My ear.." I said.
"Oh my god I'm sorry. Where are you!?"
"I'm with.." I looked at the boy.
"Connor." He said.
"Connor." I told Shawn.
"Maddie you need to come back home! Everyone is worry about you!!"
"I will, I will. Bye." I hang up and gave the phone back to Connor.
"Soo? Am I still a kidnapper?" He raised his eyebrow.
I rolled my eyes.
"Can you drive me home already? Please?" I asked tired and he nodded.
We went to his car and I sat in the back. It was a little bit awkward cause no one was saying nothing.
"I'm sorry." I said suddenly, making him frown.
"For what?"
"You know... that I thought that you were a kidnapper and that I was really rude.."
"Oh don't worry, it's ok." He turned his face to me for a sec and smiled at me. I smiled back.
Not knowing when, we were already in front of my house. I opened the door and closed them. I looked back at Connor. He opened the window from my side.
"I have to go home. Sorry. Have a good night." He said and smiled.
"Thanks again for the ride and have a good one too." I smiled back and went to my home door.
I knocked quietly and I directly heard footsteps from the other side.
Before I could realise, I was in someone's arms.
"Don't ever do that again."
It was Shawn.
"Shawn I'm fine."
"Thank god you're fine!!" He didn't wanted to let me go.
"I will explain everything tomorrow. Now I just want to go to sleep. Goodnight everyone." I said and ran to my room.
I sighed and not knowing when, I fall asleep.
