"Is that it? Shit this has to be. We've been holding off waves of Undead for the last five minutes," Cameron groans and I can't help but laugh. He's young and isn't use to doing this much physical work. I've noticed in the last five minutes, he's more of a book worm than a warrior. No wonder he's a forensic specialist and not a detective like Jared.

"Kat and Mickey need to hurry the hell up and find a way to stop the Necromancer," Jax states as he takes off his blazer and rolls up his sleeve. I'd already tossed mine and the vest I was wearing aside. I can't fight while confined in this shit. I'd give anything to be wearing my usual get up.

Mickey comes running up to us frantically and I can tell he's got news and desperately needs to inform us on what he found. When he finally reaches us he's nearly out of breath.

"I know who it is, who the Necromancer is," he whispers and looks around the room. I don't see Kat anywhere and she didn't come up with him. I'm beginning to get worried.

"Where's Kat?" I look down at him with sternly, grabbing his shoulders.

"She's down in the basement taking care of the alter. But I think someone stopped her or something happened because I could feel her energy begin the counter curse and then just stop," he gets a worried look on his face and I begin to panic. It was probably Jason. Who else would be able to stop her?

Just as I'm about to make my way down to the basement, there's an eerie bit of silence that flows across the room. Suddenly the building begins to shake. Is it an earthquake? Or is this the Necromancer's next move?

"It's Kat—I can sense her power," Mickey closes his eyes in concentration. "Whoever tried to stop her, she overcame them and she's able to continue the counter spell. She's really powerful, if she's not careful she's going to bring this building down—" Mickey yells over the loud rumble. I get a flashback to that night when I watched the abandoned office building blow up and crumble to the ground. I begin to run towards the elevator when suddenly the quake stops. Everyone is looking around in panic at what just happened. They don't know that was Kat using her power just now. For all they know we just had an earthquake.

"Everyone! We just experienced an earthquake. If everyone could begin to make their way down to the lobby and out the building, that would be best. I'm sorry for the inconvenience but it's safety protocol," a man in a tuxedo calls over the microphone on the stage with a sympathetic smile.

Humans, their ignorance is bliss at times. Even though the handful of trusted workers here just witness undone, my father pays them handsomely to keep their mouth shut if they ever witness anything abnormal. Plus they know if they ever did reach out to the press, they'd be labeled as insane because who's going to believe that any of the species of the Underworld truly exist?

"I'm not going anywhere until this is all over," I tell Jax and Jared, they both nod in agreement.

Mickey suddenly gets paranoid and shakes my arm to get my attention and points towards the group of people who are starting to make their way towards the stairwell.
