A/N: Just a bit of trivia. I thought up of Uncle Malcom half way through writing Commitment. I'd been telling my parents about one of my favorite sci-fi tv shows "Firefly" and immediately thought that Nathan Fillion as Malcom Reynolds would be perfect as the renegade, fun uncle that Kat has needed in her life. So yes, his name is the same as Captain Mal and I only picture Nathan Fillion whenever I write about him.
What do you guys think of him so far???
We are getting closer to the end of the book and I really hope you've enjoyed it so far. I apologize for the slow updates lately on this novel. I'm trying like hell to get it done so I can move on to the next series I'm wanting to start. Thank you for all the support so far <3

F O R T Y - S E V E N : T H E P L A NI sit at my desk in my office and watch patiently as Malcom paces back and forth. He's pinching his chin with his thumb and forefinger deep in thought. The clopping noise of his cowboy boots against the wood floors is beginning to give me a headache. He's been at this for at least ten minutes.
"Dad..." Allison sighs as she leans back on the desk next to her brother.
She reminds me a lot of Katarina with her caramel colored skin and long, loose, chocolate brown curls that cascade down her back. The only difference is that she has dark brown eyes instead of dazzling emerald green like Kat's. Many times I've gotten lost in those green orbs.
I glance over to Derek and he's got a similar haircut to mine except his curls are tighter on top. He's wearing a tight fitted tank top that shows off his one armed sleeved tattoos. They look like a bunch of Celtic ruins with ravens bunched into the mix. I look at his back and he's wearing a crossed holster on his back for his long kitana blade. He also is sporting a holster on his hip that has a Glock tightly snuggled inside it.
Allison's weapon is currently laying on her lap as she grasps her compound bow. Her quiver is belted to her back. A couple dozen arrows are nestled inside it. She too has a Glock on her hip. You can definitely tell the three of them are a family of Templar's. It reminds me of the first time I saw Katarina that night at Club Neon.
"Pops!" Derek yells out, catching Malcom's attention. He holds out his hand to quiet him and stops in his tracks.
"Okay, so I've run over some plans in my head with possible outcomes," he walks over to the desk between Derek and Allison. He leans over, placing his palm on the desk and tracing different tactics we could take to save Kat and put a stop to Jason.
Everyone crowds around the desk and listens intently to our discussion. We come up with the best solution which requires me to not rush in and try to be the hero. Pretty much I'm the bait. Jason is a showman and is a cocky mother fucker. I already know he's going to fall for it. It's my job to make sure he thinks he's won. The only one who could mess this up is Kat. I pray she doesn't do anything reckless thinking I'm in danger.
