F I F T Y - O N E : D O O M

D A N T E

With a heavy heart, I leave Kat with Kyle as I make my way to put an end to the one person that's made our lives miserable the last six months.

The same person that stole the love of my life away from me for five months. I lost out on so much time with her. We could've been married sooner and gotten pregnant sooner. I had so many plans to give Kat a happy life with me. I wanted to give her the peace she deserved that she never had growing up.

Jax's breathing is shallowed and when I glance his way, I can see the minute bit of worry in his eyes. He's anxious. Fuck we all are. This plan was a quickly thrown together one by Malcom, someone I'm not entirely sure I trust fully.

Even so, he did accomplish his part in the plan when he shot Jason with his gun, allowing me to get out of Jason's hold and collect Kat from nearly being burnt alive. I won't deny my heart was racing faster than it ever had before when I watched my wife struggling to stay conscious up on that platform. I was only a few moments from permanently losing my one true love along with our unborn child.

A vision of six months ago and a casket lowering into the ground pulls at my heart and instead of letting a sob go, thinking about how I could've lost her, I instead let anger take over and a menacing growl vibrates through my chest.

I pick up my speed as I exit the Fitzgerald Manor, following Jax towards the courtyard. I spot Derek fighting against a few Rogues near the wooden platform, his katana slicing through their abdomens as they scream out in pain right before he shoves the tip through their throats. It's barbaric but those Rogues wouldn't have any mercy if it was the other way around.

When I spot a large brown wolf near the front gate, I run over just as he rips the throat out of another Rogue. I recognize the wolf as Cameron and I'm close to following him to wherever Jared went when a hand is put around my neck from behind.

I throw my elbow back, catching whoever it is in the abdomen and they let out a strangled gasp. I turn in their hold and jab my knee up in the same spot, making them bend over. I'm about to throw a punch to knock them out when I notice a glint of a weapon in their hand.

Feeling the sharp sting of the blade on my chest as it cuts horizontally catches me off guard as I step back. The Rogue screams in pain as the blade burns at the palm of his hand with its angelic runes. He's dedicated to ending my life as he fights through the pain and runs towards me with the blade raised high.

When I'm ready to counter him, another set of arms wraps around me, holding me in place. I begin to panic because I'm seconds away from having that blade shoved somewhere fatal and both Cameron and Jax are busy fighting off other Rogues.

Before I can close my eyes and accept my fate, I hear the whooshing sound of an arrow flying by my face as it penetrates through the eye of the Rogue who was holding me in place. The action frees my hands and I'm able to block the Rogue's attack that no doubt would've ended me.
