*FlashBack *
"Do those canoes belong to anyone?"
Arielle questioned suddenly, curiousity embedded in her tone, as her eyes landed on the huge lake in front of us. I looked toward the vast lake that too my surprise was not frozen solid. My eyes contemplated the murky body of water in front of us, while the rest of my body felt pleased as it noticed the fact that Arielle's hand was still intertwined with mine.
We had been walking along the vast nature park for about an hour, and we still had much more to go. But I wasn't bothered by it at all..
Weve had a tough few days and been trying to make the most of our precious time before whe headed down to Blue Springs."No, they're no ones.People use it then leave it behind for others"
I stated as I watched her chocolate brown eyes marvel at the view before us."Why? Do you want to go in one?"
I ask, and she gave me an eye brow at the sudden proposal. Seconds later she nodded with excitement. I couldn't help but grin like a giddy child, I liked this small light, fun side of her I thought I'd never see.
"Ok, last one to get there has to paddle!"
I yelled childishly, letting go of her warm, delicate hand and running towards the canoes.I look next to me and I chuckles in amazement, her small body rapidly pacing next to mine. In a split second she reached the canoes and I shook my head in defeat.
"Fine, jeez I'll paddle"
I gave her a playful glare and she let out a few giggles. I picked up the orange canoe on the ground and handed her paddle to hold it for me. I pushed it into the water and climbed into it clumsily , my converse getting a bit wet from the icy, cold water.
"You coming?"
I enticed, while she held the wooden paddle tightly in both of her hands.
"Ye-yeah give me a second "
She stuttered and I couldn't help but scoff at the tiny fear in her angelic voice.
"Your not scared now are you?"
"No!Of course not!"
She defended and I chuckled, watching her face scrunch up in defense."Then what are you waiting for?"
I leaned forward extending a hand towards her, and at the same time making sure I had enough balance.
I pulled her onto the canoe, and she let out a yelp, plopping herself down. A bit of water splashed in the canoe, but I didnt see where that would be a problem.
In a few minutes we were in the middle of the lake, my hands slowly swirling the paddle in the water, disturbing its peace.
"So you never told me what Zack said about Blue Springs, is he up for it?"
I question looking at her small figure from the left end of the canoe, her eyes focused on the water we gracefully floated on.
"Um, no, not exactly. He says he doesn't want to get better that he's fine just the way she is."
She softly stated, her eyes still not meeting with mine. I sighed knowing Zack wouldn't agree to the whole thing. Dude needs it as much as we did...We'll convince him later, I hope..
