15 : sleepover

"Take care Jae Hyun, I will be back in a week", Hana said kneeling down to hugged Jae Hyun. "Goodbye Noona", he replied, caressed her back with his small palm. Hana stood up and dragged her suitcase to the front door. I trailed behind her and quickly passed her the lunch box that I prepared earlier this morning. "Yan Li prepared this lunch box for you, eat it while waiting for your plane to take off", I muttered.

She grabbed the lunch box and shoved it inside her tote bag, avoiding my stare. "Alright, say Thank You to Yan Li from me, Goodbye", She hurriedly waved, and walked out of the house.

Let's say that, things went downhill after that incident occur. The journey back to our house was thick with tension and awkwardness, she even locked me out of my own room.

I hadn't been sleeping well, I was sure that I looked like garbage with dark under-eye circles and messy hair. Tossing and turning all night long while laying on the couch was not a great thing to do especially after you kissed your ex-girlfriend unintentionally.

"Hyung?", the voice that belongs to Jae Hyun, snapped me out of my thought. "Ah, Sorry Jae Hyun. I'm in deep thoughts", I said as I ran my fingers through my messy hair. "Well, looks like you are stuck with me.", I said to Jae Hyun.

"But, don't worry. I promise it won't be as boring as we thought", I smiled, as Jae Hyun nodded his head and grinned.

"Let's go buddy", I grabbed Jae Hyun's hand and my car's key. "Where are we going Hyung?", he asked. "The mall", I cheerfully responded.

For the past 5 days, Jae Hyun had been staying with me. I noticed that he had a huge interest in pictures and photography. He had been talking about the huge camera owned by one of the staff back in his orphanage center, he asked me on how to take good pictures and he also told us that he wants to become a successful photographer one day.

Thus, I decided to give him a gift.

I drove my car to the nearest shopping mall, It was around 8 pm when we arrived.

Hana should be on the plane right now. I thought as I read my watch.

I parked my car in the basement area, there are not many cars parking in this area. Thank god, I sighed in relief.

I step out of my car and open the door to Jae Hyun. "Wear this Jae Hyun", I passed him a facemask and a hat to cover his face in case something unwanted happens again. I shook my head as the memory of being surrounded at the supermarket with both Hana and Jae Hyun came back flashing through my mind.

I pulled another version of the hat and facemask that suit me. "Let's go?", as I placed my hand forward. "Let's go Hyung", Jae Hyun cheerfully said as he placed his small hand on top of my palm.

We walked through the malls, passing through stores and bumping shoulders to shoulders with strangers. We finally arrived at our final destination, the camera store.

"Camera store!", Jae Hun screamed in excitement. "Let's go and buy you a camera as a gift", I said, touched by his reaction. "Hyung...Are you joking?", He asked looking at me full of unexplainable emotions. "Kiddo, I'm not joking", I said in a serious tone.

Jae Hyun let out a huge grin and jumped toward me, hugging my legs. "Let's go Kiddo", as I stroked his head.

We end up spending an hour in the store, discussing and choosing the best camera for Jae Hyun. Hence, we end up choosing a white Nikon Coolpix W150 as a gift to Jae Hyun.

"Thank you very much, for this gift Hyung", Jae Hyun said for the 5th time after we walked out hand in hand from the store. "Don't mention, I am more than happy to be the first person to help you to fulfill your ambition", I said as my stomach started to grumble. "Hungry?", I asked Jae Hyun.
