Time was ticking and I wasn't saying anything. Blake surprisingly gave me time giving me the hint that he was really desperate for my answer.

"How long does it take you to answer a question? Or are we on a quiet heart break journey?" He finally spoke with an impatient tone.

I kept on walking with still nothing to say. He kept on pressing me for an answer when I finally spoke up.

"You want the answer?" I inquired. I didn't know what I was doing but I was seriously just following my mind. I might fall into a trap.

"Is that even a question?" He asked in a matter-of-fact tone.

Three seconds passed before I gained the courage to say what I intended to say. "I'll give the answer but before you have it.... You need to give me six months." Wait am I doing the right thing?

He scoffed. "Like I knew you would say that. No I'm not giving you that, forget it. I'm getting the answer here and now if not... Well I don't need to tell you the consequences."

What a stupid blackmail. He can't do anything.

"I don't honestly think you need the answer then." I said in a collected tone with both my hands in the pocket of my coat.

He went speechless for a few seconds, going over what I said. "Didn't expect that one. Six months is too long, reduce it. It's just a que... Wait I get it." He said, smirking and biting his bottom lip. I was not scared because I knew he would be wrong.

"You better be right." I said.

"By the time those six months elapse, you'd be already married to him...." He looked at me which gave me shivers knowing he figured out the truth. I was wrong.

"So for now my baby girl is happily or let me say secretly engaged to Mr grumpy." He winced.

I wanted to scream for winning against him for the first time. But I was unsure of my decision. I'll make him trust me enough not to spill the truth to anyone when I finally tell him the truth. I'll make him my close friend to watch his every move.

"You are nothing but wrong so forget it for the next six months." I told him, smiling to myself for the achievement.

"Should have known who I was dealing with." He rolled his eyes dismissively.

I just grinned, for a moment feeling suddenly free. We were quiet which actually surprised me considering the fact that Blake is the talker. A glimpse of him made me know he was in thought.

"I never knew you as one to think while walking." I said, gaining his attention.

He didn't face me, he just grabbed my wrist and dragged me along with him. "What are you doing?" I asked, resisting.

"Will you just shut up once without asking stupid questions?" He said, sounding less serious than the real him.

He dragged me along to an ice-cream bar nearest to a restaurant. There he bought a vanilla cup for us both and for the first time saw him smile to a lady.

Handing me mine, he took a scoop of his. "Have a taste, I didn't order her to poison it." He hid a smile that peeked from his lips.

"I don't actually know if you did but I won't doubt it. One could never know you." I said, taking a spoonful into my mouth.

He laughed and shook his head. "That's my favorite asset for now." Looking at me, he asked. "You work there don't you?"

I looked away from him. "Yeah I do. Wait you know the com.. "
