AFTER Billyand Phoebe finished eating their food, they made their way to pick Max up. School had finished and Billy had told Phoebe that he needed to pick her up.
They both had arrived a bit early since Max wasn't at the parking lot waiting for Billy. The kids were running out of the front door and scattered.
From the window, Phoebe noticed Lucas and Max talking. They seemed to be arguing about something. Max was really upset about something.
"What the hell is happening?" Billy quizzed, gripping tight onto the top of his car.
What could they possibly be talking about? Phoebe asked herself. That was when she decided to get out of the car.
"Where are you going?" Billy questions.
"To see what's going on with them." Phoebe answers. She jogs towards the two and the moment she got close to them, she hears Max say El's name. Her face falls. Why were they talking about El?
"Did you keep secrets from, El?" Max interrogates, upset.
Lucas was taken back, "How do you know about El?"
"Did you?" Max repeats.
"That was different. Trust me, okay? That was just ... just different." Lucas defends, which he was absolutely correct about.
Max shakes her head, "okay. You know what? Forget it, okay? I don't want to be a part of your stupid party anyway. I'm out." Max snaps, "have a nice life." She ends while turning away from him. The redhead walks away, clearly upset.
Phoebe took her chance to walk towards Lucas.
"What the hell was that about? How does she know about El? Did you guys tell her?" Phoebe rants.
"I don't know who told her, but there's something crazy going on, Phoebe. Dustin found this creature that may belong to the upside-down world and we think that the shadow is completely taking over Will's life. Max was there to witness both. She saw the creature and she saw Will having one of his episodes." Lucas summarizes, "and she upset because we won't tell her the full story. Everything. She completely clueless about a lot of things that are happening." He adds as well. Phoebe runs her hand through her hair and looks back to Billy's car. She sees that Max and Billy are arguing.
"Look, I have to go. Just keep this stuff away from her. The more she knows the more involved she'll get." Phoebe states. Lucas nods and watches Phoebe walk away from him. She makes her way back to the car and sees Max sitting in the back, upset and looking as if she was about to cry.
