Clara's POV

"It's them," Christabel muttered under her breath as all the pieces finally fell into place.

"What do you mean? Who?"

As I followed her gaze, the sudden realization kicked in.

Just before she could say anything else, a loud bang resounded throughout the cavern.

I jerked my head around, only to see Christabel lying on the ground, motionless, as silvery blood seeped through the cavern's cracks. I was too shocked to move.

Just before I could make my way to her, I felt a cold metallic strip click in place around my neck and a blinding light engulfed the cavern as all went black...

Etienne's POV

"What the hell- I leave them alone for ten minutes..." I sighed and walked towards the commotion, but that's when I saw a pool of silver-- blood splattered all over. And beside it was Clara's pendant? "She told me she never takes it off not unless--"

"Ah, you're back"

"What's going on here? Where are the others? And why are you- oh shit"

"Surprise, surprise! And now everyone knows"

"Pshh please I always suspected you were a nut case" I scoffed. "But either way, you're still going to lose, you know that right?"

"Oh, and what are you going to do? Speed up your death? HAHAHA be my guest, tick tock princess, it's just you and me now...

She had a point. My friends, family, everyone I knew and loved was either down or in danger, it was all up to me and I don't have any other choice. "Don't underestimate time bitch."

Author's POV

With eyes blazing with fury and determination, Etienne did the only thing she could think of. "See you back in the past."
